“Wonderful hotel”

Stayed at this hotel two days in July 2009. I spent some time to find the perfect spot for my gf and I. My requrements was that hotel needed to be close to the lake, have a nice private area with sunbeds and pool. Hotel should have nice surroundings, possibilities for activities like tennis and boat rental. Should have or be close to a great restaurant. Room should have balcony with lake view. My first choice was Villa d'Este, but it was fully booked. However I'm happy it was, otherwise I wouldn't have doscovered this pearl. What an excellent place!Perfect location, beautiful hotel, great service. Hotel manager is very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is superb (only went to the one by the lake), and everything is much more intimate and romantic than Villa d'Este. We will definately come back!

“Close to Clooney - Perfect!”

This hotel is a perfect choice for those who want a relaxing holiday with a perfect view. The pool was fantastic and the hotel staff were very helpful and spoke good english. We ate in both hotel restaurants and the food was superb although the menu choices were limited. The facilities are excellent with a ferry terminal just outside the hotel with frequent ferries to take you all around the lake. George Clooney's villa for those who are fans, is only a couple of villages away and can be clearly seen from the lake. This gives you a great feeling of being in an exclusive place and mixing with the rich and famous.

“We reccomend this place”

Great location with waterfront pool, and ferry access right at the front of the hotel. We could hop on and get to virtually anywhere on the lake without using a car. There are minimal options for food at the hotel other than their own restaurant so we drove back to Chernobbio and Como for fine dining. Staff were pleasant and helpful with, overall, pretty good English. We will go back again to this same hotel.

“I miss it already”

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel in this area. The staff is gracious and accomadating. The boat that will take you to other places is just across the street. The restaurant was wonderful with breathtaking views of the Lake Como, here again you are treated very special. I would never even consider staying any where eles while visiting. I Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel, the staff and the restaurant. The morning breakfast is also a wondeful start to the day. This is Old Italy and a great destination for a long vacation or a special side trip. Don't miss out on this place. I Miss It Already....

hotel was totally amazing! beautiful, comfortable, fantastic breakfast buffet, loved sitting by pool by water's edge, drinking in "lake como" with my eyes, staff very friendly and helpful! we cannot wait to go back!!!

“Great Location!”

The location of this hotel is really fantastic, we went for 1 night and there was torrential rain throughout most of the day but it was still undeniably a great location with great views, its about a half hour from Como by boat to Moltrasio and the dock is literally around the corner from the hotel so its pretty easy to get there. The only problem with the boats is they're a little confusing at first, each boat has a slightly different route, also at least on Sunday (when we went) the last boat back was 19:20, I'm sure there were buses you could've taken though. The hotel itself was really nice, bit expensive but rooms were clean, comfortable and the staff really friendly and helpful.

“spectacular ,quiet location”

we booked for 2 adults and our 11 year old daughter. On arrival we were delighted with our room which consisted of a modern double with an attached large room for our daughter. This was in the modern wing of the hotel which was clean ,roomy and excellent value.

“Beautiful lake views”

This hotel had lovely rooms with great views. The location was good since it was near the station for many boats (you can easily ride a boat to Como from here). There are nearby restaurants that are casual if you don't want to eat at the more formal hotel restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Top Class location”

Great hotel, excellent location. We were upgraded to the Villa upon arrival a lovely building, the first two nights we slept well due to the amount of alchohol consumed, the next two nights we had difficulty sleeping because you can hear almost every footstep due to the construction of the villa- hard floors, suggest that you take earplugs-this is not a critisism only a recommendation Staff are very professional, breakfast (offered to us for 12 Euros) is very good, there was a lot more going on in Moltrasio than we thought there would be. Dont use the taxis they are too expensive, walk of use the ferrys Chap named Mau who works in at the pool is a fine fellow who deserves a pat on the back for his excellent service. we visited Bellagio it is ok but there is no need to ferry for 1.5 hours when your base is nicer. There is a small supermarket 5 minutes up the hill in town for bits and bobs and swimming in the lake is lovely. Take a lighweight mac or small umbrella- when it rains it rains, we only had 4 hours in a 5 day stay though so cant complain.
