“Excellent”

“WAY Overpriced for a 3 star experience”

The hotel is OK but nothing special. Rooms are small and a tight fit. If I'd paid half of what I did, I'd probably still think it was overpriced. Plus, you need to pay extra for EVERYTHING- Internet, parking, breakfast. So you can add another 30% to what you think you're paying. The "town" is a postage stamp. If you stay only one night, you won't miss a thing. Stay 3, and you'll start to be bored silly, as we were...

“Beautiful location”

The hotel is in a beautiful part of Lake Como, nice and quiet but not far from all great sightseeing in the area. The ferry boat comes right up to the hotel. Pool is right on the edge of the lake. Overall extremely satisfied.

“Great Time”

My wife an two infant daughters spent one great night at this hotel. The check-in was a snap and we were upgraded to a lakefront villa, probably because the hotel was at minimum capacity. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: nice grounds, location is spectacular, right on the Lake Como shore. Our had huge windows that gave us fantastic, unimpeded views of Lake Como on one side and the hillside villages on the other; our room was huge and VERY nicely appointed. I travel a lot for business and have stayed in some pretty nice hotels. This room was definitely on my short list of best places I have stayed with top of the line furniture and linens.; the breakfast was outstanding and included in our room. There was a great selection of hot and cold dishes as well as numerous types of delicious pastries and fruits. Cons: Parking was a pricey 18 Euros; the TV in our room had some issues, spontaneously turning off after five minutes and rendering viewing impossible; the lakeside villa where we stayed in was across the street form the main hotel and forced us to carry all of our luggage quite a long ways.

“Great location”

“Moltrasio Grand Imperiale Hotel - Great Place”

Excellent hotel with more than excellent convenient location. it is not too deep inside the valley where it is difficult to drive these narrow roads and yet it is not not close to the noise. excellent facilities with Garden / Pool overlooking the lake.

Area recommendations

Private small power boat hire around the lake.

in the hotel is fine. also, Ristorante Gatto Nero, Ristorante Osteria Vecchio Molo.

“Beautiful August Stay”

We stayed here for a short time, but were happy with the experience. Recommend the half board plan as there are not many restaurants within walking distance. While you are somewhat isolated, the location proves relaxing. Hotel food at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was somewhat thin walls. There are two sections of the hotel - an older building and a newer addition. We stayed in the newer portion. Older section has better lake views.

“Good for a quiet break enjoying the lake.”

Generally hotel was well maintained and staff helpful. But bed was very hard and we missed having tea and coffee facilities in the room as extras were very expensive as was the hotel restaurant. We ate there once then switched to the restaurant next door which had better food at 70% of the hotel price. We paid for "room with view of the lake" but view was very limited. The great thing was the ferry pier with frequent service up and down the lake only a few yards from the hotel. Unfortunately the last boat from Como was about 8pm so dinner in town was awkward. The roads in Moltrasio were extremely narrow so driving was unattractive and walking was very precarious. However the hotel had nice gardens and a pool by the lake. Hotel is extensively used by tour groups staying only one night.

“can't wait to go back!”

hotel was totally amazing! beautiful, comfortable, fantastic breakfast buffet, loved sitting by pool by water's edge, drinking in "lake como" with my eyes, staff very friendly and helpful! we cannot wait to go back!!!

“Beautiful lake views”

This hotel had lovely rooms with great views. The location was good since it was near the station for many boats (you can easily ride a boat to Como from here). There are nearby restaurants that are casual if you don't want to eat at the more formal hotel restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.
