Great place but difficult to find the first timePosted Feb 16, 2014
Great place but difficult to find the first time. Its close enough only about 4 mins from the station, but the stair system has to be explained.

Pros: - Location. - Value. - Full kitchen with plates, silverware, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, etc.
Cons: - The heater could have been fixed. - The bathroom obvioiusly needed a very good cleaning for the mold.
Location: Very good location in that you can walk into Monaco very easily. There is also a bus stop not too far away.
This hotel is a very good value. You get good space and a full kitchen with dishwasher for a very good price. That being said, there were several issues with my room. The bathroom smelled heavily of mold. I could not see any mold, but the smell was there. Also, the heater did not work so I was very cold. I told the front desk and nothing was done. You also have to be OK with the fact that they do not clean the rooms. For me, it was not a problem. Other than those two issues, the hotel room was a good size and it was easy to walk into Monaco. It is also a good value.

Perfect value place to spend time in Monaco!Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Staff. The rooms are true to the photos. The location, and price are excellent, making this the best value for Monaco.
Cons: Would prefer more rooms with twin beds. One student had an issue with the mattress.
Location: All of Monaco is within walking distance. The train station is 5 minutes away and takes you to Italy or France.
This is our second time here - the first with family, this time with a group of 16 students. The staff are professional and kind. They worked to accommodate our early arrival. They addressed my concerns prior to the trip about other comments on Trip Advisor. There are safes in the rooms for laptops, and valuable. I chose this because it is a 5 minute walk down the stairs to the main train station (Monte Carlo), and 10 minutes to the Casino, or port. The price is a great value - the rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove top, and sink, with dishes and pots. Great way to keep costs reasonable, while exploring Monaco, and the Riviera. I highly recommend it!

DirtyPosted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was basic and the pull down bed very uncomfortable - the first room I was given still had the prvious occupants vest in it - so cleanliness is extremely questionable. Shower was broken. TV options were poor if you speak English - just BBC news.

Handy location. Reasonable rates.Posted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was satisfied. Leisure and luxury were not a priority on this trip; the emphasis was on practicality and convenience. In this sense the Adagio Monte Cristo proved to be a good choice, and the rates were reasonable compared with potential alternatives. The availability of a car-parking space was also a factor. It is regrettable that this could not be booked in advance and thus guaranteed. We were "lucky".

Lots of reasons NOT to stay herePosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Chose not to use Google maps on account of the reviews that said it was mismapped, but after asking for directions twice we could not find the place. We called, and rather than being helpful, the hotel person said she had "never heard of the street we were on" (which was three blocks away!) When we arrived shortly afterwards, she wouldn't open the locked door (despite our knocking) so we had to wait for someone to come out. Then she demanded confirmation of our booking FROM ME! She wanted me to produce a piece of paper indicating I had the reservation, and we had already prepaid! She wouldn't let us check in without it. Passports weren't good enough. Well, I didn't have a print out (I assume that hotels have their own records), so I showed her my email confirmation on my tablet. That wasn't good enough either--she said that I had to email it to her. I told her I had no connection to do so, and she rudely informed me that with their free wifi, I did, and blurred quickly over how to connect. When I didn't understand, she was even ruder explaining again. Then after I told her I sent the email, I stood there waiting for 5 minutes while she ignored me until finally I had to ask if she got the email. Well we finally got our prepaid room, but it was the absolute worst and rudest service of our entire trip! Rooms are nothing special either. They look better in the pictures. Indeed the comments about a pull out bed are correct. There is only a sofa bed.
