“Great Hotel in Monaco”
What a wonderful hotel, comfortable rooms, great pool and workout room and fabulous restaurant! Highly recommended and we will be there again!
“Nice Monaco hotel a bit outside the center”
This monaco hotel is a bit off the main area, though close to bus stops. My room has a view on the ocean, with a small balcony to site outside. Across the street, there is a beautiful rose garden and around the corner is the harbour. The room is small, but comfortable. Separate breakfast is expensive (like everything in Monaco), but good. The dinner in the hotel is great. I was there for business, and it was nice to walk to the Grimaldi (20 min). and pass along the outdoor market on my way.
“Monaco Columbus Satisfies”
Columbus is a great little hotel in a quiet area of Monaco - close to the large supermarket, great restaurants and also right near to the Fontvielle port. Swimming pool is very average as it is shared with all neighbouring apartments. Buffet Breakfast was expensive and very limited selection - poor value Service was great, reception staff friendly and very attractive. Great bar for socializing and watching sports Great / Excellent limo bus transfer service around town - free of charge... Overall great experience and highly recommend.
“reasonable”
Quite, clean, perfect view from all windows, reasonable price.
“Beware of extras”
All the following are not room rates! Parking costs 23 EUR per day, plus the tip for the valet parking. Internet access 48EUR per 10 hours! Breakfast is 15EUR per person in weekdays and 25EUR/person in weekends! An extra omelette (eggs not included) costs 7 EUR!
“A 50/50 Stay”
Hotel shows there is a free shuttle to and from airport, when calling them they do not. They show there is a courtesy shuttle around town, never available, better to take bus. Cabs are hard to find in this area and or the wait time is long. Staff not helpful, and or to friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, and that is what we were looking for. No food service after 10:30pm, if you come home late, there are no options for food other than a small mini bar, hotel did not assist to find restaurants open, sent us walking in the night, anything close was closed, two women walking alone late in the night trying to find something to eat... not courtious.
“Disappointed”
Upon checking in, we found out that the pool was unavailable-- we had selected this hotel because they had a pool. The lifeguard was sick and they did not know when the pool would be open. The lifeguard was there the next day, however the pool was closed for cleaning. All in all, this was very unsatisfactory for a hotel with this rating! The rooms were lovely, however the boutique style lighting was very dim. There was not even enough light in the bathroom to apply makeup. One of the three nights, the upstairs room started a party at 3 AM, moving furniture and playing loud music. The third morning, a man woke me up. He was drunk and trying to get in the room next door, where a woman was in hysterics, having a breakdown. Hotel security responded to both calls quickly. But this was very surprising in a 4 star hotel.
