The front desk had the kindest ladies 24 hours a day! Every shift and day I felt completely taken care of. From the friendly greeting when I arrived until the sad farewell I was impressed by their knowledge and helpfulness.

Avoid this hotel - badly out of date
An out-of-time hotel badly in need of renovating. Everything about it is cheap, from the mattresses to the soaps in the bathroom, the bedding and everything - very poor. A/C barely works and the shower is scolding hot then ice cold. The pricing is way too high for such a hotel. Location is good but I'd rather pay more for an Uber to the centre, or walk than to stay here again. Cut my stay short due to illness, was glad to get out of the place, no refund given as I would expect from a poorly run and managed hotel. Avoid this hotel.

The room was very small and the in room amenities were not what would be expected of a hotel of that level. The breakfast was good but the bar/lounge and outside areas were uninviting and could do with an upgrade. The location is fabulous and reception were helpful.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful ! The property is well Maintained. Our room was clean, but could benefit from a little facelift. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The breakfast/restaurant gallery is a major bonus. Not only is the gallery beautiful with marble floors overlooking the water, selection was great. Served fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, deli meats, cheese, cereal, fruits, etc. Fantastic location, beach, restaurants, shopping all at your doorstep.

I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your hotel. Despite the ideal location, several factors significantly marred our experience. First and foremost, the room's quality did not meet our expectations. It fell short of what we had hoped for, and we found it lacking in cleanliness. Furthermore, we were appalled by the aggressive behavior of the housekeeper, who barged into our room at 11 a.m. without even knocking, despite the check-out time being 11:30 a.m. This situation was unpleasant and entirely unacceptable. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge that the receptionist who welcomed us at 3 a.m. was very kind and understanding. However, we were deeply disappointed by the intervention of the front desk manager, Sabrine, who responded to our complaint with indifference and a blatant lack of respect. Her attempt to justify the housekeeper's behavior only aggravated the situation and discouraged us from considering future stays at your establishment. While we understand that mistakes can happen, we hope that you will take our feedback seriously and implement measures to improve the quality of service and staff at your hotel. In conclusion, we are profoundly disappointed with this experience and are not inclined to return to your hotel in the future. We hope that you will learn from this situation and strive to enhance the quality of your services

This is a lovely classic hotel. Very charming, lovely staff pleasant breakfast we booked a suite it was a bit on the smaller side but that’s standard in Europe. We did book the room with the Seaview and it was well worth it. I definitely plan to visit again.

Very small rooms, no rifregirator. The elevator is very small. It takes one passenger and one piece of luggage. You cannot bring the car to the hotel at check in .breakfast is ok

The hotel was comfortable however my single room with a sea view was more like a monks cell than a nice hotel room. One single bed pushed up against the wall and a desk on the other wall. No coffee making facilities or any other amenities. The view from the balcony was great just over the road to the beach. Unfortunately the windows weren’t sound proofed so a bit noisy. I’ve stayed here before and the room was much better so probably just bad luck I got that room.

Bike Friendly. Excellent stay & great staff.
Beautiful hotel. Room has a big balcony overlooking the street, promenade and the Mediterranean sea. Sleep to the sound of crashing waves. Reception staff is very friendly, helpful and speak fluent English. Bike is parked in the side auditorium. Room comes with a complementary hot breakfast with lots of hot & cold selections in beautiful dining room overlooking the sea. Highly recommended.

Three friends stayed in 3 single rooms to go to Monte Carlo tennis. Rooms smallish but ok, beds comfy. Bathroom good. All very clean. Hotel a little tired , maybe some new garden furniture ? Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bar prices excellent and rose wine lovely. Position good by beach and town. Highly recommend, will stay again next year.

From the outside the Balmoral looks a nice hotel, however, that’s where it ends! Our room was tired, small and extremely dated! The curtains let in most of the light from the hotel lights and we might as well slept with the lights on. Our room was at the front of the hotel with fantastic sea views from the balcony but come night time and again from 6am, the road in front was a moped racetrack, with the old windows letting all of the noise, making sleeping impossible! The female member staff on checking out was the most miserable and rudest member of hotel staff that I’ve ever met! She clearly needs another career other than customer service! Breakfast was also very poor! My recommendation would be to stay clear of this place and look for something nicer with better staff elsewhere.

Checked in at 4am the gentleman on the front desk was very helpful. If your here for the beach the location is perfect. Only thing no parking so had to keep running to top up the meter. Bed was comfy and the room small but clean. Was going to stay another night but the price spiked.

Small hotel sited between the seaside and the pedestrian mall. Good restaurants nearby. The room was relatively sparse but adequate. Menton is a great place as a base to see the riviera and also go into Italy. The hotel has a parking agreement with a car park nearby which is great value.

I stayed 2 nights on business during a very busy period of MYS MONACO . The room rate was commensurate with the room so I was not expecting luxury . The mattress was poor and the en-suite shower small and a little dated ,but very clean and good for a short stay . The clientele were elderly , and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly . Breakfast buffet was standard fare . I managed to park outside pay and display , twice ,which was great for a quick get away in the morning . There was a good restaurant next door . Beach view looked good , but I had a side street room which was a fine as I was only their to sleep . Nice outside garden . Overall good location on the seafront , very good value for location and inclusive of breakfast .

The location is absolutely great as the annex rooms (where we stayed) have a balcony right on the waterfront boulevard, but there lies the only issue - noise. The street in front of the hotel is quite busy with trucks, scooters, etc. starting at about 6:00am. The french doors, although they are double paned, do a surprisingly bad job of insulating the noise. I'd suggest asking for a waterfront room in the main portion of the hotel, not the annex portion. Although it's farther from the water and the view is definitely not quite as dramatic, the distance should provide some welcome relief from the noise. IF view is more important than being able to sleep in past 6:00am (maybe you're an early riser and will welcome the built in alarm clock), make sure to ask for an annex room that's on the 1st floor (USA 2nd floor) as they have much bigger terraces (especially the westernmost two rooms - 119 and 120 I believe.)
