My room is as small to have two beds in it, the bathroom door was a nuisance it was in the way , why? Very disappointed with my stay there, soap rack rusted out, bathroom veeerrryyyy small for two people,this hotel needs walk in showers , I guess I was assigned this room because I booked thru Expedia and you they had the nerve to hold incidentals on my card, really!

I should have read prior reviews. Not in a safe area- room was dirty, door jams were filthy. Water was yellow and wasn’t told during check in. We went to buy bottled water and the desk clerk told us not to brush our teeth using the water-

It was quiet until our last night, when a bunch of girls softball teams came aboard. We loved our room; comfortable bed, good shower, lots of pillows. Steady room temps. They had just gotten new furniture and have a great breakfast. Good value.

Wish I'd looked at the 1 and 2 star reviews before booking! We traveling back home and made the reservation within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel. Understood that the hotel was undergoing a renovation, but the issues were outside of any "inconvenience". Headed to the bathroom after entering the room (we'd been driving all day), and the toilet seat was up and yellowish "water" was in the toilet. Seemed like someone (one of the folks renovating the hotel?) took care of business but didn't return the toilet to "guest ready condition". I tried to flush the toilet but it wouldn't flush. I went down to the desk to request a different room, and the clerk obliged. But not before she asked me "did you remove the tank lid and see if you could get it to work?" The new room was pretty janky looking and the toilet had a really weak flush, so my husband decided he would tinker with the toilet in the original room. He was able to get it to flush, so we opted to stay in the original room. The water that came out of the sink - for teeth brushing and hand washing - was tan. It never cleared up, no matter how much water you let run. The room had a really odd layout. The toilet and tub were the only things in the bathroom. The sink was right inside the door - where you might normally have a closet. And the light switch for the bathroom was outside the bathroom. I would not stay in this place again.

Good for the Price
This hotel was good for the price! The room could have been a little cleaner and some of the stuff updated. The tub and toilet were stained pretty bad and the AC unit seemed a little outdated. Overall, it was good and I would go again for the price.

Overall, the property was very clean and the staff was very welcoming! The bathroom was very small and there was not a plug in the drain in the sink. Also, the water was tinged brown, but I think that was more of a city issue than a hotel issue. Beds were comfortable, and overall I was pleased.

The whole hotel is just dirty. There were hairs stuck to the bathroom wall and on the floor. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. We were just stopping through for a night but our whole family found it difficult to sleep. It’s a well lit area with lots of restaurants around and checkin went smoothly.

A plus was staff was very polite, helpful, and accommodating. The only negative but it did not affect my stay was that near AC and refrigerator the floor was wet. I would stay here again either way!

I will never step foot in this hotel again. The photos on the site do not depict an accurate description of the hotel. When you walked in, there was a strong, stale/moldy smell. It was worse in the room. The paint was chipping off the walls, carpet was dirty, toilet and tub were stained and the water was brown. The pool was nasty and no one could really swim ,.The worst part is I was there with my family and the room next door had a man walk out with his pants barely on and a woman walking out and he thanked her and she said to call if he needed anything else. My husband was in the room at that time, thank God my daughter and I weren't, and he heard the entire "interaction" between them. The lady at the front desk was great and apologized and moved our rooms. The second room was not as bad and seemed a little more clean. She was the only good thing about the place,

Not a clean hotel room
The workers were nice. Aside from the bed being broke down and therefore hurting my back since I could feel the bed springs all night, the room was not very clean. The room was muggy and smelled unpleasant even with the air on. We're not even sure the sheets were actually washed as we found a hair on one, they were wrinkled, and we saw some random fuzz too. However we were so tired, we came up with excuses for it. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower. Not all the buttons on the remote worked and the remote battery cover was missing. The plug-ins on the bedside lamp were too loose and wouldn't hold our phone charger. We were surprised to see there was no clock. The phone needs a new paper info sheet under its plastic cover and a good cleaning. The coffee maker didn't appear clean. The ice bucket stunk and didn't have a plastic bag to hold the ice. There were some dirty spots on the wall by the hair dryer, but then again there were many dirty spots in several places inclidomg the bathroom door and there was a hair on the bathroom wall. There was a bottle cap left by a previous guest on the floor. We can only assume the bathroom was cleaned, but don't know for sure as the toilet paper roll was nearly all used and had a jagged edge. The toilet seat didn't have the usual paper cover letting you know it was just cleaned. Overall, the room just felt dirty, but not everyone has the same standards. This was by far the uncleanliest Choice Hotel we've ever stayed in.

Exceeded our expectations. Our first impression was the room was very fresh clean. The beds were comfortable. My husband likes his showers with hot water and a strong spray and he was not disappointed. We were exhausted after driving 650 miles the day before and slept past the ended of the breakfast hours but the area looked very nice and it appeared that there were several food options, including DIY Waffles. We would stay at this property again.

The staff was all very pleasant, but the TV in the room didn't work, the phone in the room didn't work - so we had to walk to the front desk to ask for maintenance to be done on a slow filling toilet - maintenance that never showed. The breakfast was fresh and hot. There was something going on the weekend we were there because all of the hotels in West Monroe were sold out, including this one.
