Nothing Special - AveragePosted Nov 17, 2013
Cons: Rooms are accessed from the outside. Old style. Not a normal Hamptons.
It's OK. Probably on the bottom scale of a normal Hampton Inn.

Disappointing!Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: Easy to find.
Cons: Definitely needs re-furbishing. They had recently painted, but that didn't help the overall smell.
We have stayed at several Hampton Inns and I must say this is the first one that I have been disappointed in. I always look for a Hampton Inn first and then if not available I search elsewhere. This Hampton Inn was definitely older than the ones we have stayed in. It had an old smell inside and out.

Great location and staff, but needs workPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: 1. Location; 2. Friendly Staff
Cons: 1. TV - didn't always work in multiple rooms. 2. Sink didn't drain. 3. Heater set of smoke alarm. 4. Insufficient amount luggage carts.
Location: Lots of shops and eating & drinking establishments within walking distance.
Overall positive experience that you expect from a Hampton Inn.

Hotel is not what it usually would bePosted Jul 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room smelled like a sewer and the water was gross. I don't like motor lodges and Hampton Inn is a hotel not a motor lodge. This was obviously a Hilton buying a old hotel and revamping. Felt unsafe and nervous. The pictures on hotels.com did not depict that it was a motor lodge. disappointed

Hotel close to lots of restaurants and attractionsPosted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Very nice breakfast and plenty of towels.
Only stayed one night, but it was a pleasant stay. Employees were very friendly. I liked that it was easy access to highway, and still quiet. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Probably wouldn't stay againPosted Jul 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Front desk personnel was very nice and helpful, our air conditioner wasn't as cool as it should've been and she didn't even hesitate to give me another room. However the neighborhood surrounding it was a little questionable we had two people approach us before even checking in asking for money or a hotel room. the pool was hot and very cloudy. I'm not a fan of hotel rooms that enter and exit on the outside of the building and with the people approaching us in the parking lot made me feel a little unsafe.

not as I expected for a Hampton InnPosted Jul 2, 2013
The hotel rooms opened to the outside...so strangers could potentially monitor our comings and goings. The pool was so cloudy that after dropping a Gatorade bottle (with an orange top) to the bottom of the pool, we couldn't see it. The beds and towels were clean but the carpet was a tad sticky...we wore our shoes the entire time. The breakfast area was TINY...people bumping into people, no space to prepare coffee, constantly saying excuse me or pardon me when walking around. Apparently, I've learned within our trip, that this hotel isn't in the greatest of areas. Furthermore, I've learned a life lesson: to not base hotel expectations on past trips (all of my past Hampton Inn experiences have been pleasurable, until now)...I hope to never travel to Monroe again...and will certainly never stay in this hotel again.
