“I was not impressed at all”

My husband and I have stayed at La Quintas before and this was the worst ever. The shower had not been cleaned, the unopened soap and shampoo was still in the shower. When you flushed the toilet you had to take the top off the tank and fix the rubber seal in it,the air conditioner was noisey and the coffee pot did not work. We did not have a parking spot in front of our room and the noise was horrible all night long. All the other La Quintas we have stayed at before this one was excellent but I would not recommend the one in Monroe.

“1-20 Classic stay”

The Laquinta was conviently located central of all of the places I had to travel to. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The hot breakfast and continential breakfast options were really nice.

“Bed bugs!!”

The room I checked in first had bed bugs! Once I told the hotel reception, they did provided me an alternate room.

“It was awful”

The rooms weren't very clean and the rooms were very small. They were also full of odor.

“Excellent Stay”

After arriving I had a 30 minute wait to check-in, but the wait was well worth it. The room was clean and the A/C worked great! Easy access from I-20 and several places to eat within a couple of miles. There is security during the night, so you don't have to worry about your vehicle.

Did not visit Monroe personally. Meet family at motel and traveled to other places out of state

“Nice Stay”

My time at the La Quinta in Monroe, LA was a very pleasant one. The room was very clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the location placed me within easy striking distance of all of my destinations. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

Old worn out hotel, but for the price I got a sleepable bed and decent breakfast and cup of coffee. The staff tried real hard to please.

“Decent for the price!”

We were 5 college students traveling as cheaply as we could...the hotel was great for what we paid for it. We were pleased. Except that they gave us smoking rooms when we asked for non smoking!

“Horrible Hotel”

This hotel was in poor shape and so was the staff. I was afraid to sleep under covers. Bathroom was gross. Neighborhood was scary.

Area recommendations

I would suggest staying in the area off Thomas exit.

“New Management?”

They did not give us a room by the pool and the room they did give us was really run down, ac didn't work and there was lots of things broken in it. When we asked for a different room we got moved to a room by the pool with 2 full beds instead of the king size bed. We were told that they were short handed and did not have any other rooms available at this time. Pool was also broken. We have stayed at this hotel before and have always loved it. It must be under new management or something.
