Monte Cristi Vacations
The national capital Santo Domingo is situated 140 miles (225 kilometers) southeast of Monte Cristi.

To see why so may vacationers go for Monte Cristi as a place to vacation, make sure you set aside some time to explore the area. You may also wish to check out Punta Rucia, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Luperon 45 miles (72 kilometers) to the west.
Puerto Plata, is another good spot to visit. It is about 60 miles (97 kilometers) from Monte Cristi and offers a great selection of tourist attractions, like Pico Isabel de Torres, Playa Cofresi and Playa Dorada Golf Club. Lorilar Ranch, Fort San Felipe and Ocean World Adventure Park are just a sample of the many other attractions in Puerto Plata.
Truly interact with the people you'll encounter in Monte Cristi, by learning parts of Spanish. "¿Querría bailar conmigo?" ("Would you like to dance with me?") is a good one to know. "Este caballero pagará por todo" ("This gentleman will pay for everything") is another handy one to keep up your sleeve.
