Monte Patria Vacations
Monte Patria is situated 190 miles (306 kilometers) north of Santiago, the national capital.
Traveling in this popular region is about discovering new things, so be sure to hit the road and uncover a few of the other cool population centers dotted around Monte Patria. Journey 16 miles (26 kilometers) southeast from Monte Patria to Ovalle, where you can enjoy the Plaza de Armas and Valle del Encanto.
While you are in Monte Patria, why not spend a few hours exploring La Serena. Approximately 55 miles (89 kilometers) away, this regional city is home to La Serena Cathedral, La Portada Stadium and La Serena Lighthouse. Kokoro No Niwa Japanese Garden, University of La Serena and La Serena Archaeological Museum are also worth calling into before returning to Monte Patria.
Learning some of the language is an excellent tool to use to understand the place you are travelling so be sure to equip yourself with some everyday Spanish phrases before you go. Knowing a few easy phrases, such as "¿Querría bailar conmigo?", which translates to "Would you like to dance with me?", could make your stay all the more enjoyable. "This gentleman will pay for everything" is also useful, so learn to pronounce "Este caballero pagará por todo"
When it's time to head back to your friends and family at home, you'll be bidding Monte Patria a fond Adiós (farewell).
