We were kept waiting to check into our room until around 5pm. When we asked for S’mores for the campfire it took a very long time to get them, and honestly for $20 it was a tiny amount. The bottles of body lotion etc were almost empty or completely empty. And some of the passageways had a rundown look to them. When we went to the pool, the attendants didn’t even look up when I asked them a question. To be fair they were eating lunch so maybe they were on break, but they were sitting at the desk so it was not clear. Also the large amount of mountain bikers made walking around the grounds especially to and from the parking lot chaotic and a little unsafe even when trying to cross at the cross paths. Overall it was a lackluster and disappointing experience where we had high hopes especially due to the price point and reputation of the hotel and chain. The surrounding town and restaurants were lovely as well as Parc omega, and the grounds were very pretty!

We were two moms taking our 11yr old daughters for some relaxation and swimming. The stay was almost perfect. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, the accommodations just as I remember from every other stay there, and the food always delicious. Our only little issues were the tv didn’t work in our room and there were no bathrobes available till late evening. But otherwise it was a blissful trip

Château Montebello is an unique expérience. We were amazed by the beauty and the uniqueness of the hotel. There is a lot of activities that you can make independently of the season.

We were offered a renovated room. However, opted for the classic. The room was quite warm and opening the window while an option was not something we could maintain through the night. The air conditioner turned on but was not cooling.

The onsite restaurant is not very good for dinner, and terribly overpriced, cheap wines ($13-$14 a bottle) cost about $25 a glass... there are no other options on site, which is unfortunate.

Really great staff. Very charming historical building but is looking old and tired. I think it relies on its storied past but is no longer the "exclusive" place it once was. Very comfortable but overpriced. The restaurant is pretentious but the food ranges from poor to mediocre and is way overpriced for the quality.

5 stars aren't really enough!
As always, FCM staff are wonderful and attentive. In particular, I would like to mention Front Desk staff Coralie, Jeanne and Nick for their prompt and courteous attention to my questions and requests. Housekeeper Georgette took the time to respond in writing to a note we left her. Concierge Julian went out of his way to arrange a treat for the kids. It's always a 5-star experience.

Holiday kickoff at the Fairmount
Nothing like getting into the holiday spirit with a visit to Fairmount Montebello! The decorations, the big fireplace, all the Christmas lights -just magical. we ordered room service and everything was good. we enjoyed the grounds and the festive spirit of the holidays. It's a yearly tradition my wife and I do! if you haven't - by all means do.

I called the morning of our stay and asked if early check in was possible and it was confirmed we could arrive anytime that we were put in a room that was availalbe. We arrived and the front desk told us our room was not available and we would have to wait. We waited 30 minutes and went back to the desk and the front desk was dismissive and said we were not told we could check in early and that the room was still not available. Other issue is the pillows in the hotel are terrible flat as can be no head support at all. Positive side that was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. My wife really enjoyed the spa.

This is my third stay at Château Montebello. Property is nice but out of date. Only 1 restaurant was opened. Menu was very disappointing for the price. Always love hanging near the fireplace and lounge area. Spa services are great. I would recommend going in summer, early fall and winter if not slushy outside. We fell on a rainy weekend so not much to do if you can’t enjoy the outdoor grounds.

the luxury and food is still excellent. The outdoor activities were were all closed so when we went to get facials the men where going to go play bocci ball and couldnt. I found out by the front desk that that shoiuld not have happened. the only way we could get a movie was to rent but the first night that was not an option. when I called down to the front desk they said soem rooms where not getting the service and our 2 rooms where on the list. Eventually we figured out how to get the rental to work but i feel we should have been given a discount for all out troubles. Alot of money to pay for alot of services shut down so early in the fall.If they cannot offer all the services the room prices should be less than the summer. The SPA was fantastic.

The reception was horrible. Our room was not ready for over an hour past the check in time (which has never happened to me in my life). They were annoyed when we asked a couple of times when it will be ready. They said that it isn’t their problem that we came an hour earlier than the check in time although I called the day before and the reception said we can come in early to see if the room is ready. The carpets in the room weren’t properly cleaned. The rooms itself were really old and not well managed. The only good thing about this hotel is the surrounding space with the river, which anyone can enjoy without checking in to the hotel. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone as it’s not a good deal for the price you pay.
