Great staff!Posted May 19, 2015
The staff at the Couples resorts are always a pleasure to interact with. The beachfront rooms are in a great location and are getting a full remodel this summer.

Relaxed place with great views and amenitiesPosted May 12, 2015
We enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful resort with excellent sweeping views. The grounds are huge. We loved the mineral Poland the smoothie bar there. The grounds are well maintained and the staff accommodating and polite. (Mineral pool above- spellcheck). We would definitely go back. The spa is excellent with private gazebos overlooking the ocean from a mountain location.

Couples comes through again!Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: Loved the empty feel of the resort!! Walking along the pathways feeling you were the only couple there!! Food and service were outstanding.
Cons: Really can't think of anything!
Location: Did the shopping tour, which was nice. Husband golfed and really likes the course there.
Such a beautiful resort!! Have been to Couples Negril and Couples Towers (with Negril being my favourite). San Souci is right up there with Couples Negril!!! The resort was full but you would never know it! On any given day , throughout the day, the beach and the pool area were fairly empty!! Never had a problem finding a chair! They do have a Au Natural section which I heard was busy, so I think a lot of people were there. The landscaping is just amazing , with so many nooks and crannies to discover!! Many , many stairs. But you will find shortcuts to make it easier.

Entspannung PurPosted Apr 30, 2015

Don't expect and you won't be disappointedPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: The pool bar bartenders, the activities coordinators, the restaurant staff. The pools are not large, but never felt crowded
Cons: The rooms are dated. There are WAY TOO MANY stairs. Another restaurant is needed. Not many options for food or snacks
Location: It was too far from the airport for what you get. We did not leave the resort, so cannot comment on the surrounding area.
I unfortunately expected more than we got. The rooms are very dated. The air conditioning does not properly work. We had water all over the floor upon check-in. Did the room attendant not see it? The furniture is old and broken. There was dirt embedded in the tub surrounds. No where to put your toiletries. I read that there was a lot of walking, however, the stairs are ridiculous. My travel partner has mobility issues but we were OK with walking, but everything is on an incline and/or requires stairs with no handrails. There is a nude beach, but there were women that were topless at the clothed beach and then they came to the pool. It was not comfortable, so our group actually left. We left the main pool and went to the balloon bar pool, but they do not have chairs. Now on a good note, The people were WONDERFUL. They are very attentive at the restaurants and bars. We were greeted by everyone each time we passed. We needed to use the shuttle to get around and it was usually very prompt and the drivers were very polite. They do not skimp on the alcohol in the drinks even though it is an all-inclusive resort. The pool was not large, but did not feel crowded.

We would definitely come backPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Everyone, staff and guests, were all very friendly and enjoying themselves. Enjoyed the smaller size instead of one of the multi-story hotels.
Cons: Housekeeping was a little hit or miss for replacing things like sugar and creamer for the coffee.
Location: Hotel is just east of Ocho Rios and about 1.5 hours from the airport. Dunn's River Falls is just up the road as well as Mystic Mountain.
We had a great time here. You could relax or find something to do as much as you wanted. Every one of the staff was very friendly and always ready with a smile and greeting. Most evenings had something going like a special dinner, or some kind of show, dancing, singing, etc. There were a couple evenings we just decided to order room service and relax in the room. The food was great and with variety; we ate at all 3 restaurants. The facilities and grounds were well kept and always being taking care of daily. The location is beautiful inside this cove with rock cliffs on each side; lots of vegetation, flowers, and birds around. The Au Naturel beach is open after 5pm to those that don't want to get naked so you can go over and watch the sunset (you have to be naked if you are there before 5pm; it is not optional). The hotel arranged our trips to the Dunn's River Falls and Mystic Mountain. They also got us a taxi driver to take us into town for shopping and lunch and then he drove us up to a bar just below Mick Jagger's place which has a great view of the town and area. Mick did not come down to say hello but that was his loss. All in all, a great time and really glad we picked here to stay. Yeah, Mon!

Paradise foundPosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: I liked the staff most of all. The food is fantastic! The rooms are comfortable and spacious! The drinks are delicious! Oh and the Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Needs nothing!
Location: Dunns Fall, Zip line and bobsled ride! Dolphin cove!
Location location location! built eloquently into the side of a cliff. Natural mineral pool! two wonderful beaches! One for those of us that want tan lines and the other side for those that do not. All inclusive means drinks in hand all day and the finest foods you'll crave when you get home. three restaurants to choose from or in room dinning with a vast selection to choose from! And last but certainly not least the staff! I can not begin to tell you how wonderful the staff is to their guests! You will feel like Gods and Goddess's from the moment your are greeted to the bus ride to the airport! Want to dive....its included. Want to snorkel.....its included. Want to sail a hobby cat.....its included. Wind surf, water bike, night life, everything is included!!!!!

short spring tripPosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Food was absolutely excellent and staff was very friendly and accessible.
Cons: Our room was in OK condition, I think parts of the resort have been renovated but our room was in an older building.
Location: Dunn waterfalls, ATV rides
Rained the first day, then beautiful sunshine the last few days, lots of nice clean pools. Food was really outstanding. The room left something to be desired.

Couples Sans Souci never fails to pleasePosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: The quiet and lack of crowds...
Cons: The rooms are beginning to show some wear...but these very minor issues in no way detract from the experience.
Good food, beautiful location, attentive staff, small room count...these all make for a wonderful vacation.
