A place to relax and unwindPosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: Staff was wonderful. Receptionist, Tacia, went above and beyond for us. Bartender, Ian, was the best!
Cons: Happy Hour only on Friday... maybe extend to several days a week.
Location: Not a lot to do close by. Need a taxi to go most places
The staff was genuinely nice. Hotel is peaceful and quiet. On the waterfront! The room was nice as well but had a run in with some ants. Turn down service ran a little late.

Great hotel on the beachPosted Oct 15, 2013
Cons: The only down-size is WiFi access is not available in individual rooms and is best at the lobby bar. Upside is you don't spend as much time on the in
Location: Good location near Scotchies about 500 meters east of the hotel on A1 to eat Jamaican Jerk chicken and pork and festivals .
A great hotel to relax around the pool, at the bar, over the water on a pier, and on the beach. Enjoyed using the kayak and wind-surfer in the cay and has a good selection of modern aerobic exercise equipment. Also, the room I stayed at was beautifully appointment and would be a great place for a romantic get-a-way - ask for a room with a sea view. This definitely one of the best hotels in Montego Bay and because it is small is more intimate than the larger hotels. Post-cards and stamps are available at the gift shop. A mail box is located adjacent to the front desk and business center which is one computer and a printer. Many flight crews stay at Coyaba and like it better than other hotels in the area.

Not a hotel for romatic gatawayPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Staff is trying to compensate for the mediocre beach and uninteresting location. Overpriced.

Location: Scotchies and a shopping centre are within walking distance!
Absolutely beautiful rooms, pleasant staff, and amazing beach, pool, and hot tub! The tea time is also a wonderful added, free perk!

A Great HotelPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was very accommodating. We had a Kayak lesson from the lifeguard; The food was reasonable priced. The only problem is -NO WiFi in the rooms. You would have to buy a modem-$70.00 US at the Digicel store. A Great Hotel-in a romantic setting. Try Scotties Jerk Center and Sweet Treats ice cream-near to the Hotel. Buy your T-shirts at the shops at Rose Hall.

I Didn't Want To Go Home!Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: I loved that they greeted us with a cold washcloth (as the heat was so intense) and a glass of rum punch. I also liked the short ride from the airport
Cons: The variety and cost of the food at their 3 restaurants.
Location: There is a great restaurant just down the road. The food is excellent. Further down the road on the other side is Scotchies and other local food spots
We opened a business 2 years ago, and were in desperate need of a vacation. I am so happy that we chose Coyaba Resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in room 306. It was beautifully decorated, and the loaf of banana bread to welcome us was a lovely treat. The french doors opened onto a patio surrounded by lush, tropical foliage. A few steps away and we were on the beach. Other reviews complained that the beach was small, but it was perfect for us. The resort is extremely quiet, so if you're looking for steel drums and lots of fanfare this isn't the place for you. But if like myself, you want a nice, quiet, restful vacation, then by all means stay at Coyaba Resort. It would have been a totally perfect trip, but our maid did not change our sheets one day. The night before we spilled food in the bed. The maid came in the morning and supposedly cleaned the room, but when we pulled back the covers that evening, the same sheets with the food stain were still on the bed. I was not a happy camper because I had tipped her $20 that morning. Of course housekeeping rectified the situation immediately.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet place in a beautiful location. From the moment you arrive in the wood paneled lobby the top notch customer experience begins with a warm wash cloth and cool drink. The Service is top notch and very freindly - after only a couple of hours at the property it seemed like every one knew my name and was truly happy that I was a guest. Food was good and uniquely Jamaican. And don't forget to check out the SPA - Michael has been on staff for years and is a miracle worker. Great overall experience.

Quaint and private feel of hotel on the beachPosted Jul 30, 2013
Cons: Nothing major. Maybe Flat screen TV; Jet skiing??
Location: Location was good. Near downtown and Scotchies. .
Pleasant staff. Room and grounds were clean and the beach was beautiful. I have already referred the Coyaba to friends and family. Everything was lovely and relaxing. Food was good and the fresh baked banana bread from Auntie Del's was delicious. I bought 5 loaves to bring back to share with family in Virginia.
