So happy I decided to stay here!!Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, food, services.
Cons: Okay, have to say it...the beach and pool chairs.
Location: Tours!! Some take more than an hour to get there, but it's worth it. Great way to get to see and feel the real Jamaican culture :) Yeah mon!
I've never written a review for any kind of experience, but I just have to write one on this hotel. It was my first time in Jamaica and I loved it! For many years I had wanted to visit this island, so it was a dream come true :) This hotel is AMAZING! Everything about it is great. The rooms, the staff, the restaurants, the pools, and of course the beach. I traveled solo for 5 days and had a fantastic time. If you don't want to stay at the hotel everyday, you can go on tours around the island. I went on the Bob Marley tour and LOVED it! If I had stayed longer I would have done more tours, but I really wanted to enjoy the beach and relax. The staff at the hotel and the entertainment crew are so friendly. Thank you, it was great meeting you all. The food at the buffet area plus the view, is just a perfect combination. I tried the Surf and Turf, the Japanese and the Italian for dinner, very good. Also loved that it's an all-inclusive and adults only. I love children, but it was great not to be on vacation with them, on my first trip to Jamaica.

A Perfect ParadisePosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Staff was really friendly and engaging. The grounds were clean and well manicured. The regular schedule of events for the guests was appreciated.
Cons: Nothing really. We had a couple of meals that we weren't fans of but that's expected when you are eating at the same place for 6 days.
Very few hotels are as terrific as the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall resort. Everything to make a trip perfect is accounted for when you stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and entertaining. They are always looking for ways to give their guests the best possible experience. The hotel was beautiful - right on a beautiful beach with a gorgeous swim-up bar and plenty of space to lounge and relax. The junior suites were spacious, clean, and well laid out. My wife and I could not have asked for more. Highly recommended.

ExcellentPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort, food, drinks, service, and ambience.
Cons: More shaded beach chairs in the "front row". Staff should not allow people to save chairs if not being used. Towels alone should not save a chair.
Location: You pretty much just stay at the resort or the sister resorts next door.
Only 20 minutes from the airport but far enough away that airplane noise wasn't an issue. We arrived 3 hrs before check-in, but were greeted with Mimosas, a cool cloth, and a room right away. The room was fabulous. Modern, clean, but cozy. Lots of space for clothes. The AC was fantastic - quietest I've ever experienced in a hotel. It turned off automatically when the balcony door was open, so also very efficient. Our room was tended to 2-3 times / day - morning cleaning, but also in the late afternoon for towel refreshing and a turn down service before bed with chocolate. We were doted upon. The beach was nice and the pools were equally popular. We had a great, relaxing time. We were also pleasantly surprised by some pretty good food - just stay away from the mushy shell fish. There were only two negatives: 1) Too many in-your-face smokers. The rooms and the restaurants were smoke free, but we often smelled smoke around the pools and on the beach. The smell of smoke was a prominent feature whenever we were outside trying to enjoy what should have been fresh ocean air. I think because this is an adults only resort, you just tend to get more smokers. I did not notice as many smokers at the family resorts next door. And using the beach sand as their personal ashtray was a really nice touch... so disgusting. 2) If you want a prime spot on the beach, you have to wake up really early to get it. Prime chairs would stay empty for hours, but were claimed by a towel anyway.

A Jewel in the Caribbean!Posted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: We liked everything about the Iberostar Grand! (with a couple of the dining options)
Cons: The world's most renown chef with 7 Michelin stars to his credit says-- Fresh- Local- Simple! That is why all of his restaurants are a success!
Location: Spent every day and every minute at the Iberostar Grand-- there was no reason to leave!
The Iberostar Grand Rose Hall is everything that others have said. Beautiful grounds, rooms, beach and pools! The employees at the Iberostar Grand are polite, helpful, always friendly with a hello in the morning and a good night in the evening! The pool entertainment staff is fantastic! Always full of cheer and excitement, always remembering someone names, forever eager to stop and chat! One of the best parts about the Iberostar Grand is the size! We have been to many all-inclusives from Rivera Mexico, to Punta Cana to Cozumel. We have always tried to stay at the 5 stars and they are always so big it takes forever to walk to the pool, beach, restaurant or loby! At the Iberostar Grans it is a minute to two at the most from one end to the other. The rooms are large and cleaned or checked for cleanliness 3 or 4 times a day. The grounds are manicured perfectly and are constantly being touched up. The beach has soft sand and very very few rocks! Food wise- the best restaurant is the Japanese (A+), the Italian (A-), the indoor Buffet (B+), the daily beach grill (B), open air buffet (C), the Steak and Turf (D), and the Gourmet just stay away (F).

A Grand Honeymoon!Posted Mar 2, 2014
My husband and I chose to go to Jamaica for our honeymoon, and we certainly hit the jackpot when we chose to stay at the Grand! Our trip went off without a hitch, and everything about our experience in Jamaica was simply amazing. I've been in Jamaica before, but not in Montego Bay, and I have always wanted to go back. The people there are wonderful. In all of my travels, I've never found a happier, more polite, or more helpful group of people, on and off the resort. This trip was no different! Overall, this resort is amazing! It's an adults-only all-inclusive with attentive staff and beautiful grounds. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation! Just be warned: You won't want to come home!

Service could have been betterPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The beach was pretty and well taken care of. The food was good. Relaxing atmosphere for the most part.
Cons: Hotel staff service.
The property was beautiful and most of the staff were helpful and very nice - especially upon arrival. They started to fall short when we went to the hotel lobby bar and ordered a drink from their menu. The waitress didn't know what I was asking for so I showed her and it still came back wrong. We asked for our mini fridge to be stocked with mainly water when we spoke to our butler upon arrival. That took me calling again the next day to make that happen. Also, half the equipment in the fitness center was broken. Small details like that really irk me at a hotel destination that touts it's world class service.
