Its was OK but was hoping for more.

Pros: The working staff was friendly! Management, not very much.
Cons: Better check-in process, slow and very impersonal.
Location: Only the beach front of the property to walk, everything else is closed off. If you go pass the guard gate on the beach you can't go very far.
We have been to several all-inclusive resorts and this ranks at the bottom of our scale. I am sure most people like this place but for my wife and I we are not planning a return to another Jewel Resort. The food was OK but nothing outstanding, kinda of boring. In the Coral Cafe, many time there were no plates available. Kind of hard to eat without plates. I guess my biggest complain for us what our in-room safe was not working. Could lock it but entering the code it would not reopen. After 6 or 8 different time sitting in the room waiting for someone to come up and fix it. Finely someone from Maintenance (not security) came in that knew what they were doing and replaced the safe motor. Missed a appointment in the spa and a few other activities we wanted to do. Most of the time our room was not cleaned, maybe some new towels and the Toilet paper folded in that cutie triangle (lol). There were many other thing that we didn't like but I think it's more personal choices than anything.

Find a bartender

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: It was pretty and very well kept
Cons: minimum of 2 bar tenders at each bar
Location: Jimmy Buffets and the shopping zone is about 10 minutes away.
Just so you know, it's over a 2 hour ride from the Airport to Ocho Rio, depending on how many resorts you drop off at before you get to Jewel Dunn's. The Resort is beautiful, the staff was just average, except for a young man that goes by the name "The Mayor" and a bartender named Roger. The biggest downfall was constantly having to wait 10 to 20 minutes to get a drink. Each bar would have 15 to 25 people the and only 1 bartender at each bar. We got very tired of waiting for drinks. This was our first time to go to the carribean in December, we were very suprised how cold the pool water was. Very few people got in the pools. Jimmy Buffets and the shopping zone are about 10 minutes away. It cost $35 per person if you take a bus from the resort or you can walk up to the front gate and get a cab for $1 per person. They will tell you it is not safe. We never felt unsafe and we were packed in a van with 10 Jamaican's. Also, there are only 2 smoking areas on the resort. The one at the entrance is very nice but then the other one is stock at the very edge of the property off by itself so you won't get to relax at the pool or on the beach with a cigarette.

The facility is nice - beach is minimal

Beautiful decor - great room- food was plentiful but average. Staff was overall good but not real responsive - took several requests to get certain services while dining - beach services were better than the dining services

Nice and cozy resort.

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: Overall, a nice place, and I was blown away with the evening entertainment performances (it was a nice variety)
Cons: There could be more maintenance of the internet stations. The chairs seemed dirty and stained.
Location: I would recommend going to town to get souvenirs at the craft market, and experience some local food. Dunn's River Falls is a popular attraction aslo
This was my first time staying at this resort, and I would definitely go back. There was a cozy feel to the resort, and I just didn't feel like another number. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I must give a huge shout-out to the entertainment crew; they really are multi-talented (singing, rapping, dancing, etc).

Would go back tomorrow

Posted Dec 12, 2014
To date this is the best vacation i have ever taken. We were greeted with cold towels and the drink of the day! The front desk was very accommodating and always had change for tipping. The staff was above and beyond amazing! They went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. The mayor (head mc) was hilarious and we really enjoyed the games he ran throughout the week. The food was great also. The buffet menu changed daily and our favorite place was platinum! The beach was great although if you snorkel like me there aren't many places on site to see. Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone! - Chad

Great place with wonderful atmosphere.

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Comfortable like being home, yet treated like royalty. The gardens & landscaping is awesome!
Cons: If you want ice in your room say in the evening, you better ask ahead. If you call for ice at night it may take 20-30 minutes to arrive.
Location: From the falls nearby to the Appleton distillery, to the blue mountain coffee trip, to a fun bobsled run there are too many things to do.
The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Always more than enough options of great food - anytime. There is always something to do, or relax & do nothing. Mostly couples so you don't get a lot of single groups just wanting to get drunk. Classy yet relaxing.
