“roundhill first trip”
Very good Hotel, the only thing negative was selection of meals at the hotel. Provides a great experience.
“Beautiful hotel, wonderful service, very serene location”
Wow! This place is a gem. Located on an isolated section of beachfront, but just 20 minutes from the airport, there is privacy gallore at Round Hill. The rooms in the Pineapple House are decorated by Ralph Lauren - all white with pops of blue - and all ocean view. Our very comfortable and beautiful room even had a little private balcony overlooking the ocean. The beach is small, but there are plenty of chairs, and plenty of shade from trees or full-on sun nearer the ocean. The service here is Impeccable. The grounds are simply gorgeous, with flowering plants and tropical foliage everywhere. The infinity pool is breathtaking but small. The food is good, and not more expensive than other fine dining options in the Caribbean. Plus, you are served either on the beach (for the Beach BBQ on Mondays) or on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Gorgeous! This is a VERY quiet resort (no nightlife, just one bar in the restaurant and one at the beach) - so if you are coming to Jamaica for a big party this place is NOT for you. If you are coming to relax in a lovely location surrounded by beauty, don't hesitate to book Round Hill!
“Restaurant service has gone downhill....Sadly”
We used to love Round Hill and couldn't wait to go back this year but sadly the restaurant service has gone downhill. We used to be greeted at every meal and seated promptly on the terrace. On this trip, guests lined up respectfully waiting to be seated and waited to be noticed. The wait staff was pleasant but the service was inconsistent; food was late or forgotten, check took forever to come. Everything else at the resort was wonderful but we will probably book elsewhere next year.
“Round Hill is great!”
Round Hill is a beautiful property. Rooms are very clean. Grounds are incredible. The people are very friendly. I felt very safe there. We will definitely return to Round Hill.
“Heavenly retreat”
Round Hill is a resort of legend, and for very good reason. My first visit to this elegant property exceeded my very high expectations. The accommodations in the main building were lovely, and the villas were completely amazing (the staff happily accommodated my request to view several in order to plan my next visit with a larger party). Dining was a pleasure -- the food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the dining areas (overlooking the sea) are beautifully appointed. The staff is quite obviously well-trained as they are cheerful, helpful and attentive (without being intrusive), and efficient. I indulged in a Spa treatment and was very pleased with the service there as well. I can't wait to go back and will take the family with me next time!!!
“Serene stay with Caveats.”
Great for couples family looking for a laid back relaxing time with out crowds, and a small private beach. Beautiful grounds. Staff was very attentive & professional. Caveats: blow-dryer in room did not work, very limited & pricey food options (dinner menu was $30 up) and nowhere close by off resort to go with out a costly cab ride. Also - if you stay at the hotel, the music on Friday & Saturday night is LOUD, and lasts a little too late in my opinion. We wanted to retire early for the night but were forced to stay up till it was over (between 1030-11pm).
“Amazingly beautiful”
Our experience at Round Hill was superb from start to finish. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and presented with a welcoming cocktail and tour of the facilities. We felt as if we were being welcomed into someone's home. Breakfast, prepared to order daily in our villa, was wonderful. The grounds are gorgeous. The accomodations and view from our Villa (#9) were amazing. An absolutely fantastic place for a romantic getaway.
