Cons: Fire the desk and reservation staff and replace with people who are responsive, professional and really care about their job.
Hotel desk staff was terrible, as they were not very helpful and not very knowledgeable. When trying to obtain information and help, I was quickly dismissed and told they could not help. The desk and reservation staff was very unprofessional and makes me question why I would want to spend good money to be treated poorly. I would encourage anyone to save the money on the airfare and vacation in Florida if you want the tropical experience.

Great resort - Not just for a honeymoonPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Excellent personal service, friendly staff who you could get to know personally.
Cons: Communication from the resort itself in advance. It wasn't till our next to last day they told us we had $400 in unused tour credits.
Location: Dolphin Cove was excellent and not too far. We heard raves about other nearby trips available thru the tour desk but wanted just to relax.
Best: the staff, who helps with anything and everything and knows you by name in two days. Shows are excellent. Not much to see snorkeling.. This is not a new resort but redone and although most facilities are on the beach (Riviera) side the best bar, pool, and some events are on the Hillside and breakfast service is better there.Good restaurant selection - don't miss Kimonos or Valentino's for dinner. Shuttles are less than 7 minutes to get from one side to the other Worst -Photoshopped views make it appear that you can walk across the main road and leave out the surrounding not-so-pretty area. Not everyone is under 30 or on their honeymoon. We liked the mixed ages - it made more interesting and fun as there are lots of events for interaction.

Hit or MissPosted Jul 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
There for friend's wedding. Good BUT major issues. Stayed at Secrets in MoBay for 2 nights prior, & differences apparent. Sandals much more expensive than Secrets. FIrst, it's supposed to be a couples resort. No bathrobes. I left phone charger at Secrets & nobody told me it was delivered. WiFi not free (free at Sandals). Light bulb out, not fixed. Food - unremarkable & not easy to find depending on time. Room service? Not listed in directory - no number, no menus. I called & asked to be connected to room service and got a "You have reached..." I called desk back - same. Third time they had someone contact me & it was fine. But still.... And wedding-related "events"...oh. my. god. It's like they forgot we were all all-inclusive guests. Rehearsal dinner was mediocre chicken, tasteless rice, and wine if you could find a server. Reception after wedding - a few pitchers of punch & beer we poured ourselves behind empty bar. We were all either empty-handed or had drinks from the pool bar that we went to go get ourselves for the "champagne toast." No glasses, no champagne. On a more positive note, staff was very friendly & if you get to know them they will go out of their way for you. Grounds - beautiful. Pools nice/swam at night. & free shuttle service from airport - great because Ocho Rios is 1 1/2hrs from MoBay airport. All in all enjoyed my stay, but not worth the money. You can get better for less in Jamaica.

Jamaican HolidayPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The people that worked there - they were so friendly and fun!!!!!
Cons: Treat all guests equally. Hosts and hostesses were not as friendly as the servers in the restaurants.
Location: Wonderful location and loved our trip to Dunn River Falls.
We were overall pleased with the resort. It just seems you are a second class citizen if you do not have a butler. You can't eat at the nicest restaurant and at the ones with reservations you can't get seating. Exact dress code was not explained and were not able to go to some restaurants because the men did not have long pants??? We were told to put jeans or sweat pants on - - their shorts looked much nicer than that. Seating 6 people was an issue and we had to wait for them to reorganize the tables. 15 - 45 minutes? Food was ok. The Chinese restaurant was great and our waitress was the best!!! Also, without a butler - no room service. I have always been able to order room service at an all-inclusive. Bartenders and servers were great and attentive. Nightly entertainment was excellent and alot of fun!!!!

Everything you need for an actual vacationPosted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Everything. The staff is giving 110 per cent all the time. They would have to give blood to do anymore for your enjoyment.
Location: Dunn's River Falls, horseback riding, and sailing.
Sandals has the best hospitality staff of any resort on earth. Period. Also best food, best recreational facilities. Adam Stewart and the Sandals team provide the ultimate vacation environment. We will be back.

The food was ok, lots of noise in the morning due to workers in the hall way leading to your room. I give it a 4 out of 5

Beautiful hotel with private beachesPosted Jun 5, 2014
Cons: Complimentary sunscreen ;)
Location: The location (Ocho Rios) was central to lots of great excursion opportunities, Dolphin Cove, Mystic Mountain, & Dunn's River Falls were 10 mins by bus
Stunning beaches and lush gardens, this hotel was PERFECT for our honeymoon. The service staff was incredibly friendly, and attentive. Our entire stay, I can not find one bad thing to say, it was amazing and I can't wait to return!

Very Poor Fitness CenterPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Firstly, there was no Airport Transport. On the Hotel.com site it is categorized under search "Hotel Transport". Secondly, the fitness gym is awful! Over old treadmills and other old equipment stored there on top of one another. An eye-sore. Spoke to staff but felt they genuinely didn't care. Never extend themselves to comprise something for the in convenience. I should of stayed one more night at Sandals Grand Riviera Ocho Rios than to stay there at Coyaba.

Beautiful Resort! Very Friendly Staff!Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The staff always greeted you! The bed is super comfortable and the food is reall good! Everything we did was close by too! Dunn's River Falls, Golf
Cons: The amphitheater is pretty loud so if you stay anywhere near it, you'll be listening to loud music until 10:45 pm.
Location: Close to Dunn's River Falls and Golf.
We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the Grande Riviera and it was perfect! It was not over crowded. There are so many pools and restaurants you have to spend a week to go to all of them. The staff goes above and beyond. They make you feel like Royalty! We will definitely go again.
