Ocean View Run Down HotelPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: the location and staff
Cons: the hotel needs major updating and repair
Location: Dunn River Falls and the Blue Hole
This hotel was once a beautiful hotel and could be again but needs a lot of updating and fixing up. It's a real shame as this is a nice location, nice view of the ocean and the staff were great. The room was big and clean but for the price, we should have got what we saw in the pictures. That's another thing - they shouldn't be allowed to put pictures in the website that are 20 years old. We won't be coming back as there are much better hotels around.

I would definitely stay there again!Posted Jan 31, 2015
Amazing views to the ocean and hotel staff very friendly! Modest menu (not a lot of options) but really good food. Good location, 10 mins walking to Express Bus station and the main street. All in all, really good value for money. Wifi available only at the lobby. I didnt like Ocho Rios as I found that there was not much to do there, but if I went again, I would definitely stay in this hotel. Recommended!

Horrible HotelPosted Jan 30, 2015
Cons: Everything. The building needs to be refurbished ASAP.
Location: The location is not great. Although in the heart of Ocho Rios, it is in the rundown part. I would not walk outside this hotel at night by myself.
The hotel is VERY rundown and dilapidated. I have been to a number of hotels on the island and especially Ocho Rios. This was absolutely the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. The sheets were stained and the towels were stained. Oh, and it seems each room has the same set of towels, which although taken away each day to be washed, still returned with stains. Also, while the towels are being washed, you are left for a few hours without any towels. The television does not have a remote and although there is a nice view of the sea, the hotel does not have a beach area.

Different and Cool!Posted Jan 10, 2015
The hotel took a hit from Sandy, but it is very charming and comfortable and the location is excellent -- back from the bustling street and right on the water. Every room has a beautiful ocean view, and is very spacious inside, with a large balcony -- perfect for reading, writing and relaxing. Everyone is extremely friendly, and the manager, Donna, goes out of her way to help you, whatever your need. Patrick is also a trip! The food is generally very good, but on Thursday and Friday evenings, a resident artist/chef comes in to take charge of the bbq, and the results are not to be missed. Generally, this is a hotel that is only going to improve -- with new tvs, and other small changes, it could be one of the best locations on the island. It isn't the all-inclusive kind of vacation -- this is a real place, and so much the better for it. We will definitely return for more.

Well placed hotelPosted Jan 10, 2015
Location: MissT's Diner is a good near-by restaurant for Jamaican food with style.
While the place is a little faded, and the rooms somewhat sparse, this hotel is in a great location within downtown Ocho Rios and yet on a quiet street and with delightful sea views. It is not luxurious, but everything seemed just fine, including access to the sea for a swim and a nice quiet restaurant with a good breakfast.

The hotel isn't amazing ant the service isn't goodPosted Dec 31, 2014
The WiFi is not enough . If you are in your room you can't connect with it . The people who works there is not good man . The food there too expensive and not delicious.
