“Good Location”
When I arrived at the hotel, I said "Hello" and two bored staff members (on the PC and watching TV) :"Hello, the room isn´t ready before 3 p,m." And my question"Excuse me, are there any restrooms here?" was answered with "No, we have no restrooms!"
Anyway, they ried to give me a room with a view to a wall, but after I´ve asked patient for another one, I got a room on the 1st level next to the pool. How surprising,, it was free at 2.5p.m.
The room was spacious, clean, warm, comfortable. The pool heated, big enough for swimming and the man (another one than the day before) in the lobby the very next day very polite and helpful. The breakfast was good and til 10.30 a.m.
There are very different kinds of rooms, with ocean view (3rd floor), with no view, with parking lot view..... and the same price, that´s not okay
If I would go there again, I would ask for a room with a nice view in advance.
Area recommendations
If you like shops and crowded beaches in the summer, you should go there. And if you like nature you should stay there and do the scenic drive (17 mi drive isn´t worth the money) and go to Point Lobos Nationalpark. Make sure you have enough time, it´s amazing. You see sea lions, otters......
