“Good hotel for the money”

Would like a little more air, gets to warm and stuffy sometimes.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel and both times we have been extremely satisfied. It's conveniently located to area attractions. It is clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good with a good variety of foods. We plan to stay at this hotel EVERY time we visit Monterey, CA!

“Not impressed”

Our room on 2nd floor was unsafe. Some teenager from 1st floor popped his head up to our balcony. No air conditioner. Needed to have door open, BUT there was no safety lock on door...for 6 inch opening. Kept door shut...was very hot even with fan going. Breakfast area was too small and cramped for amount of people using the hotel. I will not go back. But it was within an easy driving to aquarium.

Very clean and comfortable, especially the beds.

“review Monterey”

I rented the oversize two queen beds room and it was very spacious and clean.It also had a refrigerator and microwave. The distance to Cannery Raw was about 15 to 20 minutes walking. The hotel also has a computer in the lobby that has access to internet. There is plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. It is about 5 minutes from Downtown Monterey. It was a little bit prizey but cheaper than a 5 star hotel. The staff is friendly. Parking is in the basement and it has two levels. Access is by elevator so if there is a handicapped traveler you will have no problems. I rated it 4/5 overall. .

“Very pleasant surprise.”

Would definitely look to staying at this property again. Less impressed with Expedia's service since I requested 2 beds but my confirmation indicated a king. Upon check-in only had king available. Hotel was clean, gracious front desk and simple, but more than appropriate continental breakfast. Property has easy access, and was easy to find.

“Worked for us...”

This hotel had everything that we required for our quick trip to Monterey: we wanted free breakfast (they had doughnuts, bagels, toast, cereal, eggs, bananas, juice, coffee); we wanted free WiFi; we wanted a pool (this one was small and right next to an auto shop and the street, so kind of loud, but at least there were plants to give privacy - but no bathroom or changing room next to the pool). The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff was friendly. I was disappointed that they ran out of Monterey Bay Aquarium tickets on the morning that we needed them, so I would advise requesting them early.

“Ok hotel for the price”

Hotel was ok, You can hear other people above you and to the sides and the garbage pick up was right under the hotel, lot of noise from that truck at 5 AM. But the price was good, but I might try something else next time!!

“Nice hotel for good price, good location:)”

We stayed here for Mothers day so there were mostly families:) We made it to Monterey earlier than expected, we called the hotel and they said to go ahead and come early! About 5 minutes later we were checked in an hour and a half before check in time!!! Very nice of them. While at the hotel we didn't have any problems! The hotel is about a mile from the wharf, the weather was beautiful so the walk was nice! For children, Dennis the menece park is a couple blocks away and is a great park:) The breakfast was very basic ie: bagel, toast, egg patty, cereal, oatmeal, donuts, coffee, juice..but held us until we got to the wharf for chowder!
