“Wonderful Experience”

The Babbling Brook is a wonderful inn, with a bed and breakfast feel. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms have a very cozy, old fashioned feel, and the staff bends over backwards to make you feel comfortable and at home. The breakfast is great, even for me, who is allergic to milk, so options are usually limited. My only complaint is that there was a little mold around the tub (great jacuzzi tub), but it definitely added to the 'all natural, homey feel', lol. We will definitely return when we can, it was a wonderful experience for our 10th anniversary.

“This Guy Can Cook”

Cheerful b & b in beautiful Santa Cruz, right on a creek and with redwood trees outside our window - it was nice to find that the "babbling brook" name is factual. The proprietor, Tom, obviously takes great pride in his place. He was super friendly and conscientious. And wow, can he cook; we've truly never had eggs Bendict this good before. I was a teeny bit sad that he apparently uses dryer sheets on the linens, because the bed sheets had that chemical-fabric- softener fragrance (which I know some people love, but I hate) and the towels, though they were thick, fluffy and expensive, were not absorbent, because those dryer sheets make towels not wick water. But the beds were very good. There was some traffic noise, but I think that's pretty much unavoidable in Santa Cruz. All in all a cool place to spend some cozy time and have a great breakfast in the redwoods. A good value for the money, for couples. It's not really a place for kids.

“Wonderful setting”

Wonderful room, great setting. Neat breakfast area that would have been better if the staff had told us about the cereal and yogurt that was tucked away on a side hutch. The room was great other than the Hulk who had the room above us and stomped around his room apparently finding people to kill. Other than that the setting is wonderfully tranquil and serene. We would come back without question except we might ask for an upstairs room so we can do the heavy footed stomping.

“Loved it!”

I loved this B&B. Very comfortable, clean, convenient to Santa Cruz and the wharf, easy to get to, loved the ambiance, nice wine and cheese in the evening....I hope to stay here every year when I come to run the Wharf to Wharf!! Thanks!

“We would definitely stay here again!”

This was a very nice place to stay. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay, other than staying in a hotel. Nice change. The staff was very nice. The decor was tasteful. The breakfast was very well put together, as well as the afternoon reception.

“Good couples "slow life down" get away.”

This is a very good small B & B which delivers on the promise of being different than main stream hotels yet offers privacy other B & B's don't. The rooms are separate building structures with only one person above you (second floor). Afternoon wine and appetizers good quality. Atmosphere conducive for for really relaxing. Very friendly helpful staff.

“Perfect romantic stay for any aged couple.”

This place took our breath away, we couldn't stop snapping pictures of the grounds, and the room itself was quiet and comfortable. A great view of the brook and the sound of flowing water was icing on the cake for this marvelous stay.

“A perfect place to celebrate our Anniversary!”

We were only able to stay one night, but it was fantastic!! We picked the B&B off google to celebrate our 28th Anniversary and everything was perfect. The setting was beautiful with the running water, the water wheel and so many places to sit and reflect. The B&B staff was very thorough and showed us to our room, which had the lights on and soft classical music playing. Very romantic! All of the amenities were provided, bath salts, wine glasses, robes, real coffee cups. A nice 5:00pm wine and hor de ors served in the lobby with a fire going in the fireplace. Delicious breakfast served in the morning with many choices. We will definitely go back and would recommend this beautiful setting to anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic place to stay.
