“Great Spot”
This hotel is conviently located walking distance from the wharf and downtown.
“Great location, inn is outdated”
Great location. 5 minute walk to the Santa Cruz Wharf and the Boardwalk. No place to sit in the room. Had to eat dinner on the bed. TV had to manually change the channel or adjust the volume. No hangers in the room. No table. Fridge was in the closet. Needs real upgrades.
“Be Afraid”
Yuck. Smelled of mildew, everything felt damp. Bathroom door and bed were impossibly close to each other.
“Aweful, Dirty and Bad”
When I paid for this room I requested a late check in as I knew that I wouldn't be arrving until late. In the early evening I received a call from the front desk asking me my expected time of arrival (I thought this was great), the woman then stated that the front desk would be closed by the time I got there (after midnight) but she was checking me in and my keys would be waiting for me (she told me where but best to keep that part confidential as I am sure they use this spot often). When I arrived it was pouring down rain and we were exhausted after driving for seven hours. I received my keys, right where she said they would be BUT neither card key opened my room door. After trying numerous times I went back to the locked front office and rang the "after hours" bell and started calling them at the same time. No one answered either. After my third message and 20 minutes of standing in the rain and wondering where I might go at almost 1 AM a man walked up and asked if I needed help. He apparently worked at a sister hotel and was able to get into the front office and get me new keys. So, now I am in the room and get out of my soaking wet clothes and the room is dirty and smelly. I go into the bathroom to wash my face and the washcloth I grabbed had a big wad of brown hair in the middle of it, as if it had been used and then the maid service just folded it back up. I was discussed but of course there was no one for me to complain to at the front desk. Horrible!
“Bare Bones”
Truthfully, our neighbors conversations were not that interesting which unfortunately could clearly be heard through the wall.
“Nice place, but they need some changes”
This place is great for walking to the Boardwalk. It wasn't too far away from the hotel. The room was kind of small for 2 adults and it was with 2 queen beds. It had just enough room to go to the bathroom after we put our luggage on the floor. It was a remodeled room and had wood flooring I'm not a fan of wood flooring in my bedroom. As we were trying to decide if we wanted to go to the front desk the guy came to our room and said he had a bigger room if we wanted to change. We looked at the room and it was twice the size of the other room. The only problem with that room was it was where everyone was smoking outside of this room. So the room smelt like it was a smoking room (the sign says that they are a no smoking in the room. So we got some fabreeze and sprayed it all over the floor, beds, curtains and chairs. Also, the shower was great with alot of pressure but the drain was horrible. It felt like you were in a wading pool. The parking was horrible. There wasn't enough for all the room if you count the room against the amount of parking stalls. The first night we got a parking spot but the next day we had to park on the street. The continental breakfast was lacking variety but the coffee was the bomb. I wish I brought a bigger cup so I didn't have to go keep going back to the front office for more. Overall if you want a 5 star hotel this isn't for you. If you want something that is close to the board walk and just want a place to sleep this might be your place.
“Great spot, nice comfy and friendly”
Service excellent, great location with everything in walking distance. Value for money.
“Overpriced”
The room was clean but too small for two queen beds. Breakfast was limited. Girl at the reception was very friendly. But hotel was very much overpriced.
“Good price and nice quality.”
Very nice location, walk to the beach. Clean rooms. Very good price comparing to its quality.
“Better than expected”
There is no view of the bay - it is two blocks away. The room was clean and nicely decorated. All-in-all it was good value for the money.
