Great hotel for the the pricePosted Apr 16, 2015
It was clean, and close to everything that you need for a Santa Cruz experience. The only thing is that you need to pay $10 for parking, which I wasn't expecting.

Great location, adequately comfortable.Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Really helpful lady in reception. Had everything in the room that I needed unlike my previous hotel. Good value.
Location: The pier and the beach.
It did all that I asked it to but the location was better than expected. Firefish on the pier is really worth a visit for a good meal and fun atmosphere.

Great price for locationPosted Apr 10, 2015
Great location. Room was very clean. Floors and balcony very noisy. I may stay there again for work but wouldn't recommend to friends or family.

Rip off as far as parking goesPosted Apr 7, 2015
I had to pay for parking when I checked in. Then, because the lot is tiny, I was told I would have to park on the street. For that, I had to pump a machine full of quarters. It was a total rip off. The staff was not very knowledgeable. The breakfast was weak. On the plus side, the room was great.

If you expect to pay the price you see don't!Posted Apr 6, 2015
Rooms are clean and staff were helpful but the added extras ruined the experience. Had to pay for car parking overnight, the wifi did not reach across the car park. There is a no noise policy but considering this is on a busy road it is hard to enforce.

Don't stay here!Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Liked that everything is in walking distance
Cons: Lots could be improved, from having a friendly staff to parking conditions, there were so many things that need to be improved
Was a horrible experience at this hotel. I will never pay money to stay here again

The inn was 10min away from the beach and it was clean but it was not what we paid for. The price says breakfast is include but this means self-service of cereal and cheap waffles mix. I would not recommend it

Decent place; walk to beach, dining, downtownPosted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, pool
Cons: Family run, with some hired help behind the desk; perhaps because it was a busy weekend, the desk staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when we checked in.
Location: Wow: The Boardwalk (amusement park/entertainment venue); the beach; The wharf (dining, Sea Lions, small-boat rentals); Downtown (shopping, nightlife).
We were able to score a room at the beginning of Spring Break; being sold out, we were limited to only one parking space (we arrived separately). The room was in decent shape; hardwood floors, microwave coffee maker, etc., bathroom and shower clean and serviceable. Although we didn't bring our dog, several folks did (it's an extra $30/night). Breakfast was included, a nice plus, although it's a no-carb-left-behind event: do-it-yourself waffle-irons, cereals, muffins, juice. And although we brought our own bikes, there were some loaners available, and lots of places and trails to ride, leaving right from the hotel. The pool was also pleasant, not crowded, and not a loud party overnight. Lots of families, young couples, and old farts like us. There were some disppointed youngsters wanting to rent a room, but they were turned away; minimum age 21, they were told. That part didn't bother us...

Good location, heart of Santa Cruz.Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: Tight parking, but Its downtown so I don't think there much they can do about that.
Location: Pier, lots of restaurants, Boardwalk .
The hotel had a older vintage feel about it, which we liked. The location was walking distance to happening downtown , the pier, which had tons of restaurants to choose from, and of course the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The area had a lot of energy and really liked the location. We would stay there again.

Went to a concert at the catalyst in town. We were a safe 10 min walk away.
