Cheapest breakfast for any best western I stayed. No option of eggs, no hot sausages, no banana, no potatoes. A few Frozen muffins with sausages were offered one at a time type and microwaved by the staff without removing the plastic bag that clearly says remove bag before microwave. Building was designed so wiered way with three levels and inside congested even with two rooms. Congested parking. This is the only best western up to now, I'm not going consider to stay again.

Our stay at the hotel was amazing. The room was very clean, accommodating, and spacious. The hotel was a short walk to Asilomar beach so we were very happy with the location as well.

9 minute nature walk to pismo beach, 15 minute walk to butterfly preserve. Very safe and walkable. We were right above the breakfast room and heard nothing. Big lovely room with large balcony. Great breakfast. Egg mcmuffin, blueberry waffles with homemade looking strawberry and blueberry compotes among other goodies. A family of 4 saved over $60 on that alone.( area is very expensive. $20 for a 1 person pizza for ex.) Would have been better to have the bigger bed in the room with the bathroom. Great value and wish we had more days here. Great for family with kids. Separate bedroom for adults and tvs in each room which you can't hear the other with the door closed. Lots of natural light and high ceilings. Didn't seem dated. Suggestions: dark wood mirror frame instead of weird beige in bathroom.

The hotel is nestled in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Very clean, attentive staff, and nice amenities. Only complaints are minor; the latch on the window by the bed was broken, and obviously had been for awhile, as there was a metal bar on the sill to use to block the sliding window. However, the metal bar was too short, and we had to cram some folded paper in the gap to make sure the window was secure. The other issue was on the second, larger window. The pulley for the shade pull string was supposed to be secured in the wall, but had pulled out. We could still operate the shade, so it was OK. The first night was wonderfully quiet, but the second night, some other people had taken the room next to us, and were quite noisy late into the night. That, obviously, is not the fault of the hotel. It was a really nice facility, and I would definitely stay there again.

A very comfortable stay. Service was prompt and friendly, continental breakfast was super convenient, and accommodations (although on the older side) were well maintained. I was attending a conference at Asilomar conference grounds, and this was the perfect place to stay that offered more amenities than staying on the conference grounds without a huge price tag. Overall enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay here. The room was nice. Very large bathroom with a very large shower. The bed was very comfortable. This is always an issue for me but the bed in our room was very comfortable. We had a nice view from our balcony of the trees as well, and you can hear the ocean from our where we were. The neighborhood is beautiful with nice homes and lots of trees. There are deer running around in the neighborhood as well. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My stay was excellent until it wasn’t. I inadvertently reserved my room for one night short of what I needed. I discovered my error when housekeeping kept interrupting a conference call I was on. When I inquired at the front desk about extending my stay, the front desk clerk could not have been less gracious. He said they were booked and I needed to vacate my room within 20 minutes. I guess he forgot he was in the hospitality industry. That encounter totally soured an otherwise pleasant stay.

Our room was 82 degrees throughout the stay and they do not have air conditioning. We received a refund for 1 night because of the issue but the hotel ended up kicking us out a day early because they apparently double booked the room thinking we wanted to leave early since they refunded us for 1 days (we never told them we wanted to leave early). So basically we were never compensated for the day our were was too hot to even stay in, they just refunded us one night and kicked us out for the last night. They were supposed to help us find another hotel nearby that could take us in but they never called me back and we were forced to end our vacation a day early since we had no where to stay. Then on the last day, we went to get breakfast at 930, then when I came back to my room at 10 there were cleaners in there who took my babies milk out of the fridge, had it in a garbage bag and had moved our other stuff near the front door. Checkout was at 11 but I ended up having to leave the room at 10 since the cleaner continued cleaning even after I sat down to feed my daughter. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, there should have been no cleaner in our room until 11. Overall, horrible experience.

The hotel is old and is overdue for renovation. Our room was dark and had a musty smell. The bathroom fixtures had mold, mildew and rust stains. The paint around the bathroom sink was peeling. The hotel serves a continental breakfast, but it didn't look appealing so we chose to have breakfast in downtown Pacific Grove instead. However, not everything was bad. The hotel is in a great location, a quiet residential neighborhood 1/2 mile from Asilomar State Park and Beach. The area is surrounded by trees and drivers share the road with deer. Our room was very quiet and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. With renovations, this hotel could be a real gem.

Construction going on right outside sliding glass door excessive noise. Hammering skill saws loud music, yelling, rude language. Could not sleep or use deck. Staff did not offer moving us and said they didn't have to disclose construction work going on since it was not on their property.. They rudely said it didn't effect the room. It does effect the room no peace and quiet. Could not even open windows and sliding doors to let the breeze in. Very loud ruined vacation. Staff refused any compensation and were not interested in our horrible stay. They said owner didn't care, doesn't give discounts and doesn't have to disclose construction being performed.

A home away from home for our family
We traveled to the area for a special family event and this hotel was a perfect home away from home for our family to gather. Everything was in very good condition, well cared for, and immaculately clean. Just to note: the breakfast room is small and offers most basics. Instead of eating there, we loaded up our trays and took breakfast back to our own room. There are also a few tables outside, including a lovely gazebo area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
