Best getaway my husband and me ever had.

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Hotel people are helpful and friendly, room is very clean, free parking, have internet and close to shopping and restaurants.
Cons: The hotel is almost perfect.
Location: Short drive to Monterey to see the aquarium, the canneryand beutiful beaches. In Carmel, the Hearst Castle, Old Mission & 7 mile drive.
When I made the reservation my husband was at work and when I told him he said he does not feel like going to Carmel. When we arrive at the hotel and check in, the receptionist was so warm and friendly. In our room, my husband told me that this is the best surprise getaway I ever made for him, we have been going to different hotels, and this is the best. The room is clean, comfortable and smells like spring. The hotel is close to the main action, and we spent our time walking aound, shopping and going to restaurants not to worry about parking, it was free. The hotel also have connection to the internet and free breakfast. When we were getting ready to checkout, my husband said we should come back here soon, this is the best.

Large sitting area. Aged Victorian decor. But a good value for $ in Carmel

Clean rooms, nice staff and wonderful location. Breakfast is minimal, but the rooms were very comfortable.

Center to all, walk to everything

If your budget limits 200 dollar nights then this place will delight the pocket. Money left over to hit the wonderful restaurants will be back

Pleasant stay...

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Location, clean, roomy.
Cons: Coffee in the room was really bad. Another supplier would have to be an improvement.
Location: Just a couple of blocks to the walking area with restaurants, shops and the nearby beach.
We stayed in a suite on the first floor. It was roomy and comfortable. TV included comprehensive station line-up. Breakfast was included, although all choices were high carb - bread, bagel, cereal, oatmeal, fruit. Very nice for a quick getaway.

A peaceful retreat

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: The parking spaces were too small and it was a real hassle.
Location: Beach, restaurants, shopping
The hotel was quaint with antiques and older style furniture, but the rooms were clean and the bathrooms updated. We have stayed in very high end and lower end in Carmel and this was a real find, we'll stay again.

Room clean, redone but quite small...bed very uncomfortable. Continental breakfast was watered down coffee and stale pastry. Not worth the rate charged

Very nice stay!

Cons: Safety rails beside toilet and on wall side of the shower/tub enclosure.
Location: Within walking distance with good service, food & charm: Katy's Place (breakfast/lunch); Hog's Breath Inn (lunch/dinner); Casanova's (lunch/dinner).
Within walking distance of downtown and excellent dining and shopping choices. Comfortable, clean and roomy king suite with frig & micro. Average continental breakfast. Do wish there were safety rails by toilet and on wall side of tub/shower. We will recommend Carmel Inn & Suites to relatives/friends.

Walking distance to most of the shopping in downtown Carmel which meant we didn't have to drive around looking for a parking space. The restaurant Casanova is just a block away. Our new favorite, romantic place to go when we're in town. Katy's was also a block away. Best breakfast and lunch spot judging by the long line waiting to get in. Loved Katy's. Recommended by staff. Room could use a comfortable chair and work table for those needing to work. WiFi was excellent. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

great place to stay in Carmel

Hotel is near everything, can walk everywhere. Comfortable beds and nice room. breakfast is only basic, but that is to be expected with the reasonable price.
