Pleasantly surprised

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Size and comfort of the rooms
Cons: The pebble walk-ways are too loud and not necessarily easy to transport rolling luggage on; the hotel indoor corridors are a bit dreary & too dark
Location: There is a Starbucks coffee close, a CVS and several local restaurants
The exterior of the hotel had me fearing the worst but I was pleasantly surprised with the interior/rooms. They are comfortable, spacious & updated.

Little hot water in morning on top floor

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly. Location was great.
Cons: Sufficient hot water should be available during the high usage rate in the mornings before breakfast. The top step into the pool is slippery.
Our room (407) was on the top floor near the end of the hallway. When we wanted to take a shower in the morning, there was little or no hot water. So we did not take showers on both mornings. The maintenance person admitted that when many people take showers in the morning, the amount of hot water can be very low, especially at locations farthest away from the hot water heaters. We had to call maintenance about noisy toilet. Periodically, would get series of loud knocks for about 10 seconds. The plumber called it "water hammer". He changed a valve in the toilet, but that did not fix the problem, for it came back next morning. I suspect it was due to the water pressure periodically cycling too low on the fourth floor.

Wonderful experience!

Pros: The location was the best, walking distance to the Barnyard & the Crossroads.
Cons: Maybe the price could have been a bit lower.
Location: The Barnyard has a wonderful French Pastry Shop & a restaurant From Scratch we fell in love with. Staff at both places were great!!!
We went for our 40th anniversary & the staff couldn't have been friendlier! So sweet & the room was beautifully decorated & so comfortable. Loved the shower with the rain faucet. Location was also great! We will definitely stay here again on our return to Carmel.

For having to leave another booked hotel in 7 night, I have to lookinf for a hotel for my family. almost all the hotel at that time are full, just choosing the first suggesting hotel at exoendia. Really is it a good hotel, beauitful and large room. But it is little far away from the center and the price is to high.

Comfortable and Convenient

Posted Jun 23, 2014
This is my second stay at Carmel Mission Inn this year. I found it very convenient and close to points of interest in the area and some very good restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. I love the toiletries, Gilchrist and Soames! The only drawback is the lack of elevators, so if you tend to pack a heavy suitcase, choose the rooms on ground level.
