Carmel VisitPosted Jun 18, 2015
Great proximity to downtown and plenty of choices for dining. RG Burgers in the shopping mall across the street was awesome.

Home away from homePosted Jun 14, 2015
I grew up in Monterey, moved away and now when I come to visit friends and family I get to stay at the hotels and resorts I've heard about. Carmel Mission Inn is by far my favorite place to stay. The rooms are lovely and the bed was so comfortable!!! The staff is very friendly and I want to give George at the front desk a special shout out for upgrading my room with an awesome private balcony.

Gym is small but nice. Heated pool. Smart outlet placement. Next door cute shops and restaurants. Close to Gas station and Safeway. Not far from Carmel by the Sea.

Check in was easy, liked the location. Driving to Carmel town was very easy.

less than expectedPosted May 26, 2015
Room I reserved 2 months in advance was not available. Dirty sock from a previous guest found on the floor. Decided not to have breakfast there but was informed it could not be refunded. No explanation given.

Nice Hotel for the price.Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms, great shower, hotel staff was friendly. Free parking.
Cons: Décor in the room was 'funky' with the ocean motif and get movie channels.
We stayed one night as a last minute reservation. The room was clean and upgraded recently (2-3 years). The bed was very firm and we asked for a topper to soften it up a bit. None available. The TV had no movie channels and no way to rent or to bring a DVD from the front desk. The shower was good. I would recommend this hotel as a good one for the price but don't expect a lot of frills. We asked for the quietest room available and were pleased to be placed on the top floor. However, this was right across the parking lot from the pizza place that had a live band that was very much above any noise ordinances until 10:30 pm. It was quiet after that. Charging for breakfast was a bit much as it should be included. Parking was free also.

A quick tripPosted May 18, 2015
I arrived in time to check in at Happy Hour. The food was amazing. The hors d' ouvres were free with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage. The bed was so comfy.

ExcellentPosted May 6, 2015
Location: Go to the Italian restaurant across the road.
Very clean and fresh. The opposite side is a little town with restaurants and shops. I definitely recommend the Italian place opposite for dinner. The onsite restaurant good, we had breakfast there. The staff were friendly. When you drive past you are thinking firstly, oh no, then as you drive closer everything seems new and fresh and clean. Would 100% recommend.

Not close to town.Posted Apr 13, 2015
Cons: see above
Too far from town to charge so much. Needs repairs, bathroom door didn't close all the way.
