“Comfy weekend retreat!!”

We arrived at the hotel and got checked in quickly. We stayed in an upper level room and were quite surprised at how cozy and clean the room was. My husband and I both loved the feather bed with the lightweight down comforter. This is the most comfortable bed we'ver stayed in. The fireplace was a nice touch. I knew it was a gas fireplace but it didn't have any glass over it and gave an appearance of a real fire burning fireplace and gave a nice ambiance to the room. The room had a tub and separate shower stall and also had comfy robes for your use. Near the lobby is a restaurant with an outdoor eating/lounging area. We didn't go down there but it looked very inviting and had a firepit and many outdoor heaters to keep it cozy and warm. Looks like a great area to have a glass of wine or cocktail and unwind. Very nice stay!! Will definitely come again.

Casa Munras is unique and a pleasant way to avoid the run-of -the-mill Marriott and Best Westerns out there for the same or less money. We have stayed with dogs and kids, and there has never been any snooty attitude from the staff. Did not get to try the restaurant (tapas!), but will next time. Great location with lots of shops and attractions nearby.

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful. Rooms a little dated but clean. A long walk to Canery Row. The bed and fire place were awesome.

“Best stay of our trip”

We very much enjoyed our recent two night stay at Casa Munras. It's conveniently located closed to downtown Monterey, and facilitates easy access to Cannery Row, the Aquarium, etc. The pool was great (warm enough to swim even though the air temp was a little chilly). Room (king suite with fireplace) was very spacious and much more luxurious than similarly priced room in Yosemite area! One small snafu with a rollaway bed - one employee said they were out but another said we could have one - but the bed finally arrived an all was well! Thanks so much for a great stay!

Staff and location were great. Room was terrific! We got the deluxe room with fireplace. Room was huge. Could have stayed there for a month! Will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Monterey.

“Good location, helpful staff, nice rooms”

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was a great base - 10 mins walk from Fisherman's Wharf and 30 mins walk from the aquarium. Parking was easy, we also tried the food in the tapas bar, which was delicious. Free DVD loan (if you want to stay in in the evenings ...tho it's well worth wandering along the seafront to watch the sea otters, seals and sealions).

“Best Kept Secret in Monterey”

Wow! We were so impressed with this hotel. Several people recommended it with kids because of the heated pool. That was great, but what I loved was how well this older property has been maintained. It had the feel of the old motels when you drove up to your room, but everything about the room and the services were "top rate" quality. I also felt very safe traveling alone with the kids. Very friendly environment - will be my permanent choice when visiting Monterey in the future.

Vey nice hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Was only 10 minute walking distance to fisherman's wharf. There is a trader joes and pete's coffee a block away! Two of my favorite places! Great location with pool, gym, and restaurant. The only bad thing was that our bathtub was clogged, but other than that - would definitely stay there again!

“Loved the place”

Everything was excellent. the room was lovely, the location great and the staff, the friendliess and most helpful we can remember encountering. Our only concerns were a little early morning street noise and the room didn't have a dresser (we used the nightstands and closet shelf).
