Great location, terrific atmospherePosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Warm cookies, made to order breakfast, charming old building.
Cons: Our room was a bit too crowded.
Location: Walk through downtown, too many restaurants to choose from with a few blocks, walk to the bay or over to the monarch grove. Lots to do.
Get there early to make the most of this wonderful hotel / B&B. The staff were really helpful - good leads on restaurants and activities. The location is perfect to explore Pacific Grove, a block from downtown, 2 blocks from the bay and the bike trail - so bring your bikes.

Great first experience!Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The breakfast and the amazing staff
Cons: Rooms are small, but considering this is an original building I would rather take the small room than have them demolish it to make it bigger.
Location: Very close to the beach!
This was my first experience with a bed and breakfast, and I loved it. From the beginning the staff was very pleasant and helpful, particularly Kent. We were constantly in and out of there since we were in Monterey for a wedding, and any time we stopped and had a question the staff was more than willing to help. They were friendly and offered all the information we needed. By far the best part was when we were told that "cookies will be provided all throughout bedtime". Bedtime! The room was adorable. I find it silly that people complain about the size of the rooms or the noises they hear outside. These are old homes that have been preserved and given historical landmark status. Why would they go and ruin that by bulldozing walls down to make them thicker? Why would they put brand new bed frames, when it's supposed to have a cozy, old-fashioned feel? How can you possibly complain about SEAGULLS at a BEACH LOCATION?? It was a small room, yes. But these are original foundations, original rooms. I don't expect a giant suite. We had a bed more than big enough for two people. Our room did not have a tv, but as I said previously we were always in and out of the room so that really didn't effect us at all. The breakfast was fabulous. I got a delicious tomato, cheese and mushroom frittata that was included with our room. They even gave us extra bacon no charge! We explored the grounds a little bit too after the wedding, and it was great. There's a little trail you can

Nice old fashioned hotel, the experience takes you back 100 year and that is not bad. You feel that you are back in time, friendly staff and good experience.

Charming Victorian, quiet, wonderful locationPosted Jun 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
This charming B&B is in a great location. I left my car parked the whole time and walked to the ocean and to the downtown in the other direction. I especially enjoyed the dining room which also has a fireplace and easy chairs. The food was very good. I enjoyed talking to the staff and they were always very helpful. This is a good place for a quiet getaway. Lots of things to do around the area.

cute little innPosted May 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
we stayed at the centrella inn during a stay between San Francisco and Carmel. It was a very quaint experience so don't expect big frills, but the staff is lovely and there is a wonderful breakfast included as part of your stay. Plus try and find a hotel at this reasonable a rate in the area!
