The showerPosted Jul 12, 2014
That shower felt like I was being Peed on, no water pressure at all. The beds are old and not very comfortable.

Centrally Located HotelPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: location, price and nice hot showers.
Cons: The breakfast was very minimal. Toast, coffee and waffles. It would of been nice to add yoghurt, and fruit (other then oranges which they had).
Location: Great location. Near Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 mile drive, Ocean drive and beaches, Carmel, and the Mission at Carmel.
Hotel is located in-between Monterey and Carmel. Close to the ocean, Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 mile drive, The Mission at Carmel and downtown Carmel. Bonus is that downtown Pleasant Grove was quaint and nice to walk around too.

Convenient Pacific Grove motelPosted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: It was easy to find.
Cons: The desk staff could be friendlier and more alert, and there could be more than just six metal patio chairs on an outdoor patio for their "breakfast"
Location: It's close to downtown Pacific Grove, and therefore close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the ocean.
To call this a hotel is optimistic. It is an old-fashioned motel with tiny rooms, a tiny parking lot, a tiny breakfast room serving a tiny breakfast. It was convenient, and had it been considerably cheaper, I would have considered it a find. However, this little motel is giving itself airs, calling itself a hotel and charging hotel prices.

Fine for a night...Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Typical cheap hotel, but since it is in Pacific Grove it was more expensive than usual. Short drive to beach, downtown and Monterrey. External doors. Strange layout. Basic breakfast, but no where to eat it in the lobby.

A one-star property at a three-star price.Posted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: The hotel clerk was courteous.
Cons: Lower the price drastically or completely renovate it.
This room had no phone. The heater was probably from the '50's or '60's at best. Couldn't believe they charged over $100 for this room. A $40 Motel Six would be a better deal by far.

Cons: Cleanliness of rooms and updated furniture
Location: location was great
We had two rooms in our group. The heater did not work in the other room and a portable heater had to be brought in.

Floor was tilted, towels were about a dozens washes past needing replacement. The manager is nice and pleasant. The area is beautiful. I'm not sure how Clarion certified them, but it is just dated. If you're looking to go back to what traveling was like in the 1960's - here's your motel.

Clean and QuietPosted Oct 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Wanted peace and quiet, no traffic, close enough to walk to beach. Older property that has been updated. Enjoyed very much. Front desk staff friendly. Will stay here again.
