“Great place”

Nice eemployees, clean lobby, easy check in, Microwave & fridge in room, wireless internet, clean bathroom. Very pleased.

“Can't think of one negitive thing!”

From the moment I walked into the check-in area I knew this hotel was a good choice as I booked sight unseen. The young man at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. I was given the room of my choice....3rd floor, backside of the building for extra quietness. He even delivered the necessary equipment for my laptop to my room and hooked it up as they do not have wireless connection. The room was quiet my entire stay. The microwave, coffee maker and small fridge were a great convenience as well as the continetal breakfast downstairs. I admired the coffee mugs and inquired if I could purchase one. The manager gave me one free of charge! This was a business trip and the hotel was 3 miles from my work and it was the least expensive hotel in the area. I would certainly stay again when on business in the area. Excellent service!

“Nice place for decent price”

I came here for my son's graduation from UC Santa Cruz. It's nothing fancy but exactly what I needed. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good with excellent coffee.

“Close to Pajaro Dunes”

I was looking for a place close to Pajaro Dunes for some surf fishing. The Comfort Inn in Freedon was clean and the third floor room not facing the street was quiet. The continental breakfast was good with waffle maker.

“Comfort Inn Watsonville”

Not far from Santa Cruz or Monterey. Rooms are clean and nice.

“Convenient Monterey Bay stay”

Hotel was decent. Our 1st room smelled strongly of cleanser-yuk (carpet was torn too). The front desk moved us to a different room without question. 2nd room smelled of cleaner too but not as bad--road noise was notable but didn't bother us and much milder at night. Place was mostly clean & the bed was comfortable but the shower curtain needed a cleaning. Breakfast was nothing to brag about but the attendants were very nice and let us stay though we got to it late. Note, we came in after a very nice stay in a SF boutique hotel which set a high bar.

“Good option near Santa Cruz”

This hotel is situated near the Monterey Bay area and provides a good option for visiting Santa Cruz, Capitola and other beautiful places around the area, without the high prices.

“You get what you pay for.”

This is a fairly new Comfort Inn, so I expected a clean and friendly atmosphere. The young people that worked the front desk were pleasant enough, but as soon as we walked into the very small room we noticed problems. The lamp on the nightstand was unplugged and broken. The table had not been cleaned at all, had a sticky film to it. The room was marked as non-smoking, but had a smell to it that made me think someone had been smoking in it. None of the staff spoke english (maids, custodian, breakfast server) this was extremely irritating. But overall, considering what other hotels rates were in the area, this wasn't a bad place to sleep overnight. Just don't expect too much.

“Clean, comfortable, convenient”

Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a little trouble with the lights. The switch didn't work the first time, but on a second click, it usually came on just fine. The young man who checked us in was great. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He recommended a restaurant for dinner and even gave us a map with the route to the restaurant highlighted. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. It was definitely a great choice for a one-night stay. The proximity to Santa Cruz and Monterey make it a great choice as well.

“Two night stay - for EAA workshop”

It was OK. Nothing special - nothing bad. It's a bed and a shower at a decent price.
