Pros: Everything was clean and looks like new.
Location: Location was good and it was 15 minutes far from to beach.
It was so clean and everything was perfect. All the stuff on the room were good. Floor was hardwood, bathroom had the granite. Just the room was small and it was good for one person and the price was high for Thursday night.

Felt like a "find", though stay marred by 1 thing

Pros: Little pool, funky layout, fairly clean
Cons: Train staff on what lodgers deserve, and what to do when the hotel fails them in that regard.
Location: Beaches!
We liked having two separate rooms, the layout and amenities were fairly nice, and on our first day/night, the manager was capable and friendly; but our blinds didn't work -- so the outside hallway light shone in too brightly at night -- he came up and wedged a sheet into the space between the shades and the wall, to cover the window and give us some darkness, but at night too much light still shone in; we brought it up the next day, and a different manager said he'd disconnect the outside light, which he did; but there was still a fair amount of light bleeding into the room, and then in the morning the sun bathed our bed in light -- at 6am or thereabouts, waking us; one of the main things we wanted from this vacation was to sleep in! I brought it up with the manager again, and he simply shrugged. I could've pressed him to give us a discount, but just wasn't up to it -- and we had to leave anyway. But they should've been much more sympathetic, and think of some way to recompense us. Just another staff unable to care enough to do the right thing.

The room itself is pretty small, but that said, clean and modern. Hotel is about a 15 min walk from the beach/boardwalk. Recommended.

Nice lodging for price in SC

Pros: Clean and convenient.
Cons: Seating in breakfast room is a bit tight and gets crowded. Improve sound insulation between rooms.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Parking is a bit tight for those staying in the annex across the street as it is shared with the restaurant next door. Customers next door were a bit loud, but I was tired enough that I wasn't kept awake for long.

We got in late at night. We were coming into what we expected to be a tourist hotel that had been beaten down. But the room was clean and the bedding was comfortable and it had wood floors which we thought was a good idea. I would stay there again.

Remodeled Motel w/ Friendly Staff

Location: Good Italian restaurant right across the street
Clean rooms, recently remodeled. For a motel, its quite nice and clean. Free breakfast, about a 1 mile walk to the Boardwalk.

Good hotel close the boardwalk

We started off a little bad. We got there at night and when we were getting ready to go to bed, the bed had some sand and it didn't had sheets. It looked like the housecleaner didn't do her job well. We called the lobby and the staff was very nice and took care of it. Besides that, everything was good.

HORRIBLE!!! Will never stay here again!

Cons: Customer service training. Rooms were dirty and in need of repair.
Upon our arrival (which was well after check in time) our reserved/paid for room was not ready. So the manager "upgraded" us to a better room. Our first night the AC went out and our room was a sauna. We barely got any sleep and were not able to enjoy the next day due to being exhausted. They repaired the unit on day 2 but the manager never contacted us to say anything. So I called him to explain how uncomfortable our stay was, and after three attempts to get a hold of him he said he could offer me Boardwalk tickets and and extra night at a fifty percent discount. I explained that we had work and would not be able to stay longer. He said his hands were tied for the days we had already stayed as we booked through Expedia and would have to contact them. Then five minutes later he said he would talk to his boss and see if there was anything that could be done and would call me in the morning. He further went on to say how "I was lucky he was even talking to me as any other hotel in the area would have thrown me out and not cared". He didn't call in the morning (big surprise) so I called him and left a message. He called back to say he could issue a 25 percent refund but it would take 21 days. When I got home, i called Expedia and they issued the refund within minutes ....so much for 21 days. Expedia called him to get approval....so much for it being up to Expedia and his hands being tied.

The room was great, but lots of street noise. Woke us up multiple times during the night.
