“I'd go back”

Basic room. Clean & secure. Under new management who's intent clearly was tosatisfy their customers which is a must do when they ask you to post favorable reviews here and at Trip Advisor. I have no problem doing this as I was pleased with my stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back there. The room was missing an alarm clock but when I mentioned it to management they assured me the wake up call I asked for would be on time and it was. Even though it fronts a busy street the room was quiet. OK all around in my opinion.

“Good Deal”

Newly remodeled, very large rooms, with small kitchen. Very clean. Reception could be more friendly. Internet was slow. Breakfast area is very small, just two tables. But overall experience very good. We definetly would go back again.

“Had beds and a shower.”

I have never paid as much for accommodations as poor as these. Fix the plumbing.

“Very good place to stay”

For a basic place to stay, this was very good. The rooms were clean and well maintained, it was in a good area and right off the highway. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast wasn't "all that" but it was free and saved a few dollars one of the mornings. A word of warning, the pool isn't heated. But other than those two things, it was a good hotel at a reasonable price. Would definitely go back in the future.

“Pleasant Stay”

The wife and I spent only the one night as we were only passing through. However the price of the room was great and extremely clean. The location was easy to find and the check-in/out was painless and quick. Would stay there again when we only need one night on another bike trip through the area.

Area recommendations

Cannery Row is always great and don't forget to visit the Monterey Aquarium and have lunch at Bubba Gumps. If you're into diving, the Monterey Trench is something to experience.

“Good place to stay”

Nice place to stay. But the breakfast could be better. In addition, the staff (two hispanic women) were in their pijamas and not very friendly.

“Great Place to Stay after partying at Planet Gemini!!!! Instead of driving home...”

This was a hotel in the perfect location if you want to go to Planet Gemini and party. And after partying, you don't have to drive home and stay at Casteel Hotel. Right Next door.

Area recommendations

We went to Planet gemini Resturant and Dance place. Great place to eat and they have Comedy Show as well. Great Music, Great People working there, and Great Place to dance with Great Live Bands.

“comfortable enough, if not the best location”

Pros: inexpensive, huge room w/ kitchen, quiet. Cons: internet didnt work, kitchen didnt have any utensils or plates or anything, breakfast area was miniscule, especially given the size of the motel.

Anywhere on the water, especially Pacific Grove.

“Good value”

Place was clean and quite no issues except the continental breakfast at 7am did not happen. Low cost so do not expect a real great palce with extra ammenities just the basics and again it was clean, efficient, and well run.
