“Great place to stay”

“Nice Hotel”

I have no major complaints with this hotel. It was clean, spacious, very nice amenities. Nice large screen TV, refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast had a good variety and the quality was good. they do not provide roll away beds but we made due. The pool is pretty small. I would recommend it to anybody.

“Great place good value...”

The facility it was right off the highway yet the rooms were quiet. The pool - wouldn't call it a pool - it's more like a large tub. The internet service during our stay was intermittent. Otherwise it was a comfortable room, comfortable beds and so conveniently located. We would definitely stay again.

Not too familiar with neighborhoods so can't really recommend one over an other.

“Only place for UCSC visitors to stay”

Perfect, central location. I love that it is so close to freeway. It is the only place I stay when I come to visit my UCSC student. It is economical, clean and convenient.

Area recommendations

Central area around Pacific Avenue. Coastline drive fron West Cliff area to Capitola. Glaum Egg Ranch in Valencia Road, Aptos for 24-hour egg-automat machine.

“My new favorite”

I travel often to Santa Cruz to visit my son at UCSC. In the past I've stayed at the University Inn, but this time I decided to try the Hampton since Expedia had a special rate. Very nice, smallish hotel, super friendly staff. Only thing I did not like was a couple of dodgy characters in the back parking lot. I will stay there again.

“Great for an overnight stop”

Our room was clean with nice furnishings and amenities. It was surprisingly quiet for being right off the lobby. Breakfast was good.
