Maybe could improve on the pillows. Overall, very nice.

obviously old but nicely kept room, very pleasant staff. good location for walks into downtown or to the beach; once we parked, we didn't start our vehicle again until it was time to leave days later. nicer-than-average little continental breakfast spread. (trays were offered to drag stuff back to our rooms.) we picked it because it was one of the more reasonably priced dog-friendly places in town, and would definitely consider it for our next trip there.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean - staff very helpful

The Staff was very friendly and accomodating to our needs. The room was very large and beds were very comfortable. Could stand to be updated at some time.

We loved this quaint little Inn. It's in a great location that's within walking distance to most everything. We did drive to the beach though. We had the continental breakfast each morning and it was very nice. The baked goods were delish. The folks at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and kind. I would certainly stay here again.

Stay was very comfortable with large "family room". Staff were very helpful and courteous! We enjoyed the funky decor. Convenient adjoining restaurant for fast food.

They were very accommodating, we reserved one room with two queen beds but they offered us two conjoining rooms which worked out WAY better with our three kids!!! Very clean and friendly, the only thing is we would have liked a refrigerator in the room to keep milk and drinks for the kids, but other than that it was perfect!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well equipped if a little on the small side but biggest problem was being able to hear everything that was being said in the room next door. The hotel also needs a lift to save lugging our heavy suitcases up several flights of steps. It was in a nice quiet spot just a short walk from the town centre and a great place from which to explore this lovely town.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a bit dated in their decor but entirely comfortable and spacious. I thought the hotel offered good value. Carmel is very compact, and this hotel is only 2-3 blocks away from the main strip. I arrived with 30 minutes left to get ready for a wedding. There had been a mixup and my room wasn't ready for me, but they really bent over backwards to make sure I was able to clean up and get ready for my event. Their enthusiastic service turned what could have been a nightmare into a rescued situation.

We had a great experience while in town for a dog show. Carmel is truly doggy friendly and this motel was a great location. Only issue was no grassy area for potty breaks. Great human situation - heated pool and sauna, good continental breakfast, located close to the main drag!
