“Great hotel near the Wharf”

It is a well-designed old California style hotel with privacy and lovely gardens. The street rooms are slightly noisy at night . Next time, we'd choose a room off the street. The location is only a block from the Wharf and the bike trail that runs along the ocean to the Aquarium. It has a more intimate feeling than the big hotels.

“Would definitely recommend”

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during August 06 and it was excellent. The reception and hotel staff were fabulous and went above and beyond. Beds extremely comfortable, Aveda products in the bathroom. Premises are immaculately clean. Really well located for everything in Monterey itself and for exploring further afield. Make sure to book a room facing the courtyard.

“Ya Gotta Stay here!!!!!!!”

My sisters and I stayed here for a "girl's wk-end" and were VERY impressed. Service was outstanding, people always checking on you and if you need ANYTHING. Beautiful setting, comfy beds, and my younger sister especially loved the Aveda products. Close to shopping and dining, may want to take the free shuttle to the Aquarium though. Loved this hotel!!!!!

“Wonderful hotel that we keep returning to”

I love the Hotel Pacific. We have been staying at the Hotel Pacific for many years. This last stay was slightly less perfect than previous stays. First, there was a pretty meaty spider that made its home under the glass of the dining table in our room. There was a significant web system that was established, so he had been there for some time. I don't think it was a poisonous spider, but still, if I noticed it within minutes of walking into the room, shouldn't someone else have noticed as well? Second, the beds (two queens) were noticeably sagging in the middle. The morning breakfast and afternoon tea were both very nice. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Pacific again. Please note that if you wish to park in the hotel's underground parking structure, you will be charged an additional fee for doing so. I highly recommend the Hotel Pacific. It is located very close to downtown, fisherman's wharf and cannery row. If you are staying in the summer time, don't forget to try to take the MST Wave free shuttle which stops right out side the Hotel Pacific and loops between downtown and cannery row.

“Very Romantic”

The hotel staff were very friendly upon our arrival. The room was large and very romantic. I would recommend to everyone. The only drawback is that they charge for parking in their garage, we opted to park in the street for free.

We had a wonderful time again. We were aat this hotel and ate at the same restrauants two years in a row on our Anniversay and will return next year.

This hotel was in a great location, very charming, and worked out great for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people.

“one of monterey's best”

We have stayed in this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable. It's in a great location in downtown Monterey. Feather pillows are standard it seems, which we prefer. The breakfast is better here than in most hotels; lots of fresh fruit; not your standard fare.

“Would stay here again”

4 adults shared this room and there was plenty of space for everyone. The bathroom had 2 sinks and 2 showers (one with a bathtub). There was a sitting area facing a fireplace and also a little dining area with a fridg. Our room was on the 4th floor in this four story building so our room had peaked ceilings which were painted white. We liked the overall feel to this room. It wasn't your usual cookie cutter hotel room.
