“Laguna Seca Trip”
This hotel is pretty old and the bed was VERY uncomfortable. We were happy to find it however due to the lack of availabilty of other places because of the Jazz Festival and Laguna Seca race in town. The remote to the TV didn't work with the volume so you had to mannually adjust it and the TV was of course the old style which is to be expected I guess. Having acess to a continental breakfast was helpful so we could get to the race on time. If there were other places to pick from this one would probably be at the bottom of the list.
“Good for budget”
The place was fine, it's a bit far from town to walk, but clean and comfy. You don't pay a lot, so don't expect the Hilton.
“Not Bad”
The Knights Inn is exactly what you would expect by looking at it. The room is nice and open and the bathroom actually looks updated. However, the rest of the room looks rather dated and the walls are rather thin. There is traffic that drives by pretty much often but you are in such a convenient location that it is expected. I love the placement of this Inn and how cheap it is to stay there. From the interaction I shared with staff, they are pretty friendly and even offer the breakfast after the hours they had listed. The compliant I would have is the bed. The bed felt like it had a lot of wear but it is not as bad as some other beds I've slept on. Otherwise, for as cheap as it is, it is worth the location and friendly staff.
“Great value”
The room was fine and the price a great value. My only reservation was the breakfast facility which had limited seating room and didn't open until 8am.
“Nice Place”
Attentive, friendly staff. Clean room and carpet. The bed was firm and large enough for me and my wife. The grounds are clean as is the pool. The hotel is about 2-3 miles from Cannery Row, but is situated in a quiet neighborhood close to Hwy 1. If you are a runner there a plenty of hills and streets to take a jog on. Also, there is a shopping mall across the street with Macy's, P.F. Changs, California Pizza Kitchen, Starbucks, and a Whole Foods. Overall, a good place to stay. Suggestions: a refrigerator in the room.
“Convenient location!”
Bedding comfortable. Lighting too dim inside. Hotel is close to Monterey and Carmel...that's a plus. Continental breakfast (choice of cereal or danish) not open until 8:00 AM which is inconvenient for travelers wanting to get on their way earlier.
“Good value”
Good value for price for this location.
“Very nice and cheap hotel”
Cute, clean Hotel with friendly service at a great location (close to center and close to the all glory Whole Foods Market)
“good clean hotel”
For a "bargain hotel" Knights Inn Carmel Hill in Monterey is a good deal, though not perfect. Comfortable beds, nice furnishings and clean. Downside is that bathroom light/fan is quite loud, and the toilet are those pressure assisted flush type so they are loud too. Free continental breakfast could use some fresh fruit, but satisfactory
“Good hotel”
Confortable and clean, good location, free parking. Breakfast was the only thing I didn't like, but we could buy some yogurt at Trader Joe's and leave it in the refrigerator.
