“20th anniversary”

It was a great anniversary get away. The Lighthouse Lodge suites is walking distance to the ocean where the scenery is beyond amazing. You will see deer roam in the evening and the hotel is close to local restaurants, downtown Monterey and other local scenes. The complimentary breakfast and evening wine is excellent. The comfort and laid back feel of the hotel is superb.

“Pleasant family environment”

Lovely free egg breakfast and barbeque hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. Helps the budget especially with children.

“Nice place to relax”

It's in a quite, peaceful area where deer come around and you're near the ocean (within walking distance). The only issue we had was the hot and cold plumbing was reversed in the shower which made for long waits (until we realized what was going on) for hot water. Once we told the desk clerk, she said she would pass it along. They have internet service but it's very slow and I had to hold my IPad high to receive a fair signal...made me look like I was paying homage to the internet gods! LOL

“Wonderful place to stay. Dear watching Seals”

Great time seeing the area. Deer in the grounds, go down to the beach to see the harbor seals. There are some excellent food places around the area.

We were in the Honeymoon Suite, which was beautiful! The breakfast and happy hour were great and the facility welcoming and lovely. We'd definitely recommend it!

“Perfect getaway spot!”

I take road trips all the time up to Pacific Grove, but had never stayed at this hotel. It was perfect and will definitely stay there again! its right next to the beach and within walking distance to the actual lighthouse. It was nice that not only did they have a complementary breakfast but a complementary bbq too for dinner! a perfect little spot off the beaten path

“A good Pacific Grove Find”

We arrived to an upgraded room in their suite facility which included an afternoon wine and hors doeuvres, an adequately comfortable king bed and a complete served breakfast. A very good deal for the money. And just a short walk from the beach.

“Great place for a family to stay”

This is a great place for a family to stay. It's not fancy but was very clean. It's also very easy on the budget. A tasty breakfast buffet and afternoon barbeque are included. We stayed six nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our patio looked out over an old cemetery (not creepy at all) and we saw lots of deer. They came right up to the patio. You can see the ocean from some of the rooms and we walked down to the coast in just a few minutes. The microwave and refrigerator were very handy for storing a few snacks. Although I don't know when we'll get back to Monterey, we plan to stay at this hotel when we return.

“A romantic getaway in a convenient location”

I thought the suites were great. It had a log cabin feel, the room was cozy with two TVs, a sitting room and double doors opening up to a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub! I loved it! Great for a romantic getaway!

“Excellent price for amenities”

While showing its age, it was still very clean and well-kept. My room was large upper room with vaulted ceilings and balcony. Especially liked that both a full breakfast and a barbecue dinner of hot dogs or hamburgers was provided.
