“Friendly hotel with great taste in decor”

My daughter and I checked in and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. She was very knowledgable in areas to go and places to eat! close to a shopping center that was really great, short drive to Carmel. Stay here was very pleasant and hotel room was GREAT! will stay again. Thank you MARIPOSA SUITES and INN STAFF will definitely come back!

“Nice Hotel with a Modern flair”

Nice room, the staff was nice. The only exception was the lady in the Breakfast room, she was irritated when people came in to get breakfast. She wanted us to sit outside so she could clean up and we didn't want to sit outside due to my husbands allergies. Other than that the room was nice.

“Had a great stay”

Our room exceeded expectations. Great location. The staff & environment was fantastic. We loved the pool, spa, breakfast and most of all, the fireplace!!! It was a very comfortable stay and we will definitely be back!!!

“Great Deal For The Price At The Mariposa!”

We got two rooms at The Mariposa in Monterey, one for more my wife and I, and the other for my parents. We stayed for a one-nighter, and it couldn't have been better. The Inn is at the end of a ascending hill of hotels, and the Inn is definately the most visually appealing on this "strip." Many others look like hotels, but this one caught our eye. We made our reservations for a week in advance, and when we got there, they gave us a free room upgrade. We got a room with a beautiful fireplace in it! The heated pool was great, and so was the hot-tub, both in a garden setting. And the free breakfast in the morning was a good bonus also.

“Worth the money”

This place is close to the freeway. Near the Del monte center, restaurants etc. Worth the money. Got a free upgrade to bigger room with fireplace etc. Staff was friendly and breakfast in the morning is very nice.

“Wish the Mariposa was in other locations”

All the big name hotel rooms were booked mid-week in September so we came upon the Mariposa reviews. We were very pleased and the value was even better. It is a perfect place to base to explore the Aquarium, the Steinbeck Library, and the Monterey/Carmel region. Wish the Mariposa was in other locations that we travel.

“Warm, comfortable, fun, free parking, free breakfast and great hospitality!!!!”

It was wonderful and the staff were awesome. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Mariposa Inn, Best place to stay while visiting Monterey bay. We did not go to California to spend all our time in the Motel so we were out and about most of the time and so relaxed at the end of the day in the wonderful Mariposa Inn, A great big thanks to the kind and caring staff.

“Comfort with Contemporary Style”

Very cozy and comfortable with contemporary decor. Convenient to Cannery Row, the Acquarium and shopping. Nice contenintal breakfast.

“Always a favorite!”

We've stayed at various Monterey properties and this remains a favorite. Although we usually end up on the "street" side of the property, it's relatively quiet at night. The location is convenient to the freeway, shopping center and getting to downtown Monterey without being in the middle of it. Love the fact that it's across the street from Del Monte Shopping Center which gives you walking access to restaurants, stores, and the movie theater. Complimentary breakfast in the morning is a plus too! The rooms are well-maintained and comfortable...rooms in front/street side are not spacious, but adequate. Nice amenities and would recommend it.

“Will stay again at this hotel”

Nice room, good view, comfy bed, will stay here again when I return to Monterey
