The pictures shown of the hotel must've been taken right after construction as my room was much more dated from what I saw online. When checking in, the front desk woman was somewhat cold and seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. The shower water was very messed up. Very tough to get water less than scalding hot. The worst part was the mold! There was a skylight that was elevated about 3-4 feet from the bathroom ceiling so naturally all steam would travel up there with nowhere to go. I would NEVER go back to this place.

Hotel had cozy atmosphere. Needs updating, heat coming from air conditioner made too much noise, refrigerator had high pitched sound which was annoying. Bathroom should be updated and breakfast variety was limited. Hot tub was nice, staff was courteous.

The Mariposa Inn is very clean and very cute, with lots of fun touches like sitting areas and swan towels around the pool. It's clear they have been working on giving it an updated boutique feel. The simple breakfast made traveling with the family much easier. My only complaint is the bedding— the pillows are horrible and there were no extra blankets in the room. That said, I would happily return, but bring my own pillows!

Small room. Only chair was a desk chair. Shower rod anchors were broken causing it to slant down. As a result the shower curtain slid down in the middle allowing the shower water to spray the bathroom floor at both ends of the tub.

This was a cute and lively hotel in Monterey. The Inn was located in a great location and was a short drive to the California coast line and Big Sur national park as well as various food/grocery options. The Inn was so clean and decorated very nicely. There was also free breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were nice and accommodating which added positively to the overall experience.

We chose the Mariposa Inn as the reviews said the cleanliness and comfort were brilliant. We found this was the case. We loved the cleanliness, modern rooms, comfy beds and the fire. The pool area and garden were pleasant. Parking was good and location suited us. Breakfast was standard affair but good enough for us.

Had the greatest experience at Marioposa inn. Suite was clean and loved the room. I truly enjoyed my stay and the breakfast was great good variety to choose from. Bagals, cream cheese, cereal, muffins. And I love the butterfly decor everywhere great place to stay.

The doors were on the outside which none of the pictures showed. And the jacuzzi tub was run down, the outer layer was coming off and it had soap scum buildup. We didn’t even use the jacuzzi tub it looked so bad and that was why we had got the room in the first place. Also the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Other than that it wasn’t bad. But was close to a Main Street and was noisy at night.

This was definitely a motel that has been cleaned up and updated. Most rooms doors are outside. We were very surprised at how nice our rooms were. Updated, had microwaves and a fridge. The continental breakfast was a good continental. The townhome room was great and my friends liked their standard king. $10 to fish hopper and aquarium(Uber) you can walk to Starbucks and Whole Foods. We plan to return

I stayed at the family townhouse with my 3 daughters for 2 nights. The hotel was very cute and well kept. I liked that the parking garage was right by the elevator, that made loading and unloading very busy. Staff was nice and check in was quick upon arrival. The rooms were perfect for us. We loved all the little details, swan folded towels and paper folded butterfly. The only thing I wish wouldve been better was the breakfast.
