Can't get a king bed even on your anniversary!

My husband and I stayed here with our 1 month old for the night to celebrate our anniversary. I had booked a king size bed, and they gave us two doubles and said that's all they had, sorry. Even if we had waited to check in later, they said they wouldn't have anything. The other couple we went there with had the same problem, they were also celebrating their anniversary. Additionally, upon getting in one of the beds, the sheet had a quarter size hole in it. The bathrooms are also very very small. At $300 a night, we were quite displeased with the experience.

Nice location relatively close to Cannery Row.

Pros: The friendly staff
Cons: The size and amenities of the room.
Location: The hotel was near Cannery Row and the Wharfs and the shuttle service worked very well. The buses were however usually crowded and the ride chaotic.
The accommodations were adequate and the staff was excellent. Given the cost, I though the room was rather cramped.

Pros: Clean, beds were great. Continental Breakfast was fabulous
Cons: Wifi availability with out charge
Location: Great location. Easy to get around
Late room reservation resulted in the offer of a handicap room. We were offered a lower grade room and took it

No bell hop.....desk does everything

No bell hop for luggage....desk does everything...over worked....valets are excellent. othot tub is filthy.....paid extra for view not worth it...slight view of ocean and bird poop roofs Parking is 2 blocks away. You must use valets....$24/day

Location: It's good
It's kinda a short visit , 2 days 1 night we dont really enjoy it staying in the hotel , the room is small (is not really big ) no good view outside ( overlooking , or landscape ) no free breakfast or even free wifi !!

Mattress Hard As A Rock!!

Pros: The Lobby was nice and so was the room.
Cons: The hard mattress on the bed!!!
Location: The Monterey Wharf was fantastic. The view was very nice and so were the restaurants.
We arrived and the Concierge lady wrote the wrong room on the key envelope and just said "Excuse my terrible handwriting." Really!!? So, I'm running around trying to find the right room and when I found the right room the key did not work. Great!!? The bed was hard as a rock. Me and my Girlfriend's back were killing us the next morning. On my next trip to Monterey I'll try another place.

Not great...!

I have had great experience staying at Marriot in several cities. However, this one not as great as I expected. It's a nice place, but really depends on the room you get. Some rooms are so far away from elevator and the entrance (like mine this time around) that it takes almost 10 minutes to get to your room from the entrance. Staff were great and courteous. Breakfast was OK, again not as good as other Marriots I was used to. Next time I'll probably stay at a different Hotel in Monterey, although I will continue staying at Marriott Hotels other places hoping for a better experience.
