Pros: Very nice roomy room, didn't feel cramped as sometimes in other motels
Cons: Continental breakfast was lacking
Location: mainly only walkable to down town, had to drive to other venues
Very nice large roomy room, for a fairly old motel.

good place to stay if you want downtown MonterreyPosted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Nothing real special, except that we were in the second building and it was quiet.
Cons: It was ok for the price
Location: We were downtown Monterey so we had good choices for dinning and walking around. Although, we made a trip to one of my favorite pubs, Duffey's.
My golf buddy and I stayed two nights and two days at the Day's Inn. We played golf during the day and then wanted to be close to downtown to walk and dine and not worry about driving after a few beers. The room was clean and appeared to be up to date. Nothing special but a good place for people who only use it for sleeping at night.

Don't stay because they have free breakfast.Posted Sep 17, 2014
Don't go here for the free breakfast. It's cereal, oatmeal, or toast. No protein. I was a little nervous when we pulled up, it looks a bit rough. The room was much better than expected though! Clean, not smokey at all. Safe area to my knowledge. Front desk guy wasn't rude but nothing exceptional. Asked me for my id and ccard. I couldn't find my id immediately and he didn't want to wait so he told me not to worry about it. Weird. I would stay here again. Nothing special but not terrible.

Horrible!Posted Sep 16, 2014
It was the worst place I have ever stayed at. I think Motel 6 would have been better. The room smelled so bad of BO. It was really rundown, and the beds were so hard. I would allow my dog to stay there. Very disappointed and grossed out the whole stay.

Staying at the Days Inn MontereyPosted Sep 7, 2014
Location: Went to the Monterrey Aquarium and on a whale watching cruise which was absolutely awesome.
Ocean view, (not a beach view , but that was not promised). Close to all. Can walk o Denny's for breakfast. Continental breakfast did not have breakfast pastries (at least I did not see any) which are usually all we're interested in first thing. Only downside was someone tromping around in the room directly above. Could also hear someone making a phone call in the next room. Noise on the whole was not a problem. Room was good size. Larger than Best Western or Motel 6 or Econolodge or Super 8. Yes, you pay a little more.
