“Quaint Little Lodge”

Quiet little place. The people in the office were very warm and friendly people they made U feel at home. The rooms are nice and very clean. Different to have a sliding glass door as your hotel door. The rooms have no windows or air conditioning so at night if U R use to sleeping with the windows open or the air on for fresh air U R out of luck. Make sure U request not to have room #203 if U R a light sleeper as there appears to be a drip drip drip sound that can be heard all night. I would recommend this Lodge to anyone based on the cleanliness and location for the price if U don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room.

“Nice Place”

The hotel is just outside of the tourist area so it is easier to park, less noise and more quaint. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was circa 1970's to 1980's but in excellent repair with a nice bathroom, excellent view, glass sliding door porch that allowed the delicious Monterey air to blow through.

“great location”

PROS I got a fantastic rate in June. The hotel was clean and quite. Just a couple block walk to the beach. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. It seemed newly remodeled. The front desk employee was easy going and kind. Lots of channels on the TV. We had a patio which was really nice. I will stay here again. CONS I rented the nicest room with a "ocean view" The ocean was a few blocks away and not really a "view" even though you could see it. There were only 2 pillows per bed and they were small so I will ask for another 4 pillows the next time I stay here.

“Nicest and most accommodating staff, will be back”

The hotel was located in a very quiet part of town which was definitely a plus compared to the hustle and bustle of the downtown scene. The first room we received would not have been my first choice, but considering the deal I got for the room, I was willing to go with it. However, the room was checked as being clean, and yet was not. As soon as I reported the issue to the young woman who helped us check-in, she was extremely apologetic and immediately offered us an upgrade to anther room which just so happened to be on of their suites with an ocean view. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the responsiveness of the staff. The suite we received was very clean and very maintained. On our check-out, they apologized again for the inconvenience. We told them that we would definitely be back again. I recommended this hotel to all my friends and family and stand by what I say.

“Excellent hotel experience”

What a great place to stay when on the Monterey Peninsula. Comfortable airy room and wonderful breakfast provided. Easy access to the beach and Cannery Row. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Pretty clean and quiet.”

No complaints. Overall very clean and quiet. Only small blemish was the left over food in the small refrigerator overlooked from previous guests. Would stay there again.
