“A good location for exploring the Monterey Peninsula”

The good: 1. This property seems fairly new and well-cared for. 2. The rooms are spacious and well-laid out. 3. Bathrooms are also large, and there are plenty of towels, and nice toiletries. 4. Housekeeping does an excellent job cleaning the bathroom and the rooms. 5. There is ample parking 6. Hotel locations is easily accessible from the Freeway. 7. Management is very responsive to requests, to include repairs, etc. 8. Nice variety of TV channels. 9. Alarm clocks in every room! Pet peeves: 1. Very lumpy pillows 2. Very (VERY) noisy air-conditioner/heater unit located by the windows. 3. If you are a light sleeper, don't accept a room facing the main road. 4. Breakfast is limited to cereals, breads, coffee, juices and waffles. Boiled eggs and yogurt would be a lovely addition. Overall, this hotel is a good value for money!

“Loved the place”

I found everything to be perfect including two TVs in the room. Room was very clean and well maintained.

“It's okay”

We stayed at the Ramada while vacationing in the Monterey area. The hotel price was decent. The furnishings have not been updated in several years. Everything was in working order. We passed on the free breakfast. I would rate it about a 2 or 3 on a scale of 10. Overall, linens, furniture, breakfast item quality= cheap.

“Great Value Close to Monterey”

This hotel is just down the road from Monterey, but without the Monterey prices. The Marina also has its own beaches which are just about a mile away from the hotel. Staff was friendly & courteous. Breakfast was fine. Kids loved the waffles & I appreciated the coffee.

“Nice mid-priced hotel”

I was looking for a mid-price hotel and this place fit that criteria. The room was clean and comfortable - nothing fancy but I wasn't expecting that. I do have two minor complaints: 1) the continental breakfast wasn't anything to rave about and 2) there was a fair amount of road noise coming into the room. It was rather annoying and we had to keep the windows closed and couldn't have any fresh air circulation.

“Good deal for Monterey area”

The Hotel is clean( carpet in the elevator should be cleaner) and everything looks in order. The rooms are huge, with fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. They have a sofa bed and 2 TV's/ The tub was a jacussi with 4 or 6 jets.( I did not expected that). Even thought this hotel is rated 2 stars it looks better than many 4 stars hotels I have visited. Continental breakfast is included (Cereals, waffles, muffins, bagels,fruits, milk coffee, etc) This hotel is a very good deal in the Monterey area and it is only 5 miles away from the fun areas.

“Pretty good”

Perhaps the largest draw back to the hotel was the town, which is kind of dreary and dead. However, it is within close proximity to Monterey and at a bargain. Therefore it served its purpose well. The rooms were quite clean, the workout center served its purpose and the continental breakfast was more than satisfying. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Monterey area.

“Good but not Excellent”

The rooms are outdated. We had King BR with Sofabed and there were two boxy TVs. The comforter had a palm-size sticky stain (yuck) but we never really use those so it's ok. The lights were the bright white.... takes out the romantic ambiance of the room. It just looks like a Motel 6--- but a cleaner version. Also, they hold $50/night if you use Debit Cards. Overall, it was ok.. nothing grand.
