Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Clean, conformable hotel with great staff, better than most hotels in US (in this price range off course)
Cons: Frankly I wouldn’t change anything, they are doing a fantastic job
Location: Centrally located, near airport as well
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Mexico

Hotel policy regarding visitors to hotel guests

Posted Apr 21, 2014
I have visited Monterrey many times and usually stay at the Four Points Galerias or the Staybridge Suites. This is my first stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Linda Vista. I arrived on April 11 and departed on April 16. The hotel is comparable with other Four Points Hotels with one exception. The hotel has a policy of NO visitors to hotel guest rooms. If you stay at the hotel and you have a business associate or family and friends, you cannot take them to your room. Two of my family members who live in Monterrey came over and we went to dinner. Upon returning to the hotel we went to my room. I received a knock on the door and was physically escorted to the front desk. The front desk clerk informed me that hotel policy precluded having any guests in my room, that there was a public area across from the front desk where I must meet with any guests, that they were not allowed in my room. I informed him that I had never heard of such an outrageous policy. I have never experienced anything like this in visiting Mexico in the past 40 years. This will be my first and last stay at the Four Points Linda Vista in Monterrey. If I had not prepayed for my stay, I would have checked out and moved to another hotel.

very nice place to stay

Posted Sep 27, 2012
Pros: breakfast
Cons: getting to the mall
Location: ok, plenty of places to eat nearby
very nice hotel, very nice service, multi language staff, nice breakfast. only complaint is that pool was pretty small and they closed at 10pm, which was shortly after I returned form dinner each day. navigating the avenidas in fornt and to the side of teh hotel were difficult by foot (safely), but could be done. business oriented

Very nice hotel and excellent service all around

From the initial check in until check out, I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. I had a couple of minor difficulties - my phone's voice mail didn't seem to want to reset and one day the phone wouldn't get an outside line - but both of these were handled expeditiously and in a nice manner. I especially found the shuttle bus helpful as I was able to take it in the city centre area a few times thereby saving money on taxi fare. When in Monterrey, I would heartily recommend this hotel and knowing that I will return again in a few months, I plan to stay there again.
