Quick Stay

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Staff Location Breakfast
Cons: Room cleanliness/Bug situation
Location: Bar Amigos is down the street, which is something interesting to do at night. Definitely not a night club we are used to back home.
We stayed at Camino Verde for a few nights and everything was ok. We did find that the room tended to have a lot more bugs than we were used to seeing in the rest of Costa Rica. We expect some, as that is inevitable in a country like Costa Rica, but it was more than expected. Beyond that, they staff is great, the breakfast is simple, but tasty, and the location is solid.

Cute and Comfortable Bed & Breakfast

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Location: Next door is a great little restuarant we walked to for lunch one day and a pizza place that was exceptional just up the block in walking distance too
This was a perfect place to stay on our vacation in Costa Rica that was inexpensive but safe, comfortable, and a pleasant stay. The staff there were truly exceptional and even when we accidentally had water flood in the bathroom by leaving the sink on, the staff quickly took care of cleaning up the water and the manager was kind and gracious. The breakfast every morning was tasty and the kitchen area felt like a home environment. Great place to stay in Monteverde.

Cheap hostel.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
More hostel than hotel. If traveling with a group and looking for a cheap place to stay it may be ok. However, paying for a room for one person was definitely not worth it. Moreover, the room I booked was not the room I received and I went two days without a working toilet. The town is small so the location while on the outskirts is still convenient. I don't know if this affects the whole facility or just the cabinas, but the wind at night made it very difficult to sleep

Great hidden Bed & Breakfast.

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Cons: The road the BB is on needs to be paved.
Location: The location is in Santa Elena, close to the suspended bridges, the cheese factory, canopy and zip lining. Restaurants are around the corner.
This BB is not run by a corporate. All the amenities are great for the small price you pay. The only down side is that is off the main road on a unpaved road. Other than that I had a great experience.

Home away from home

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Zip lining, night hikes, hanging bridges, tons of wildlife tours, waterfall rappelling, coffee plantations
This was the best place we stayed our entire trip. The staff was wonderful and so helpful. The room was clean and comfy and there was a kitchen for our use. Town is just a short walk away and the staff was more than helpful with arranging things to do. He even got us into a hummingbird garden for free. Overall a great experience.

Very nice for the price. Helpful staff for tours. Breakfast was good. Older hotel but good location and price. (could do something about the roads to Monteverde!)
