Excellent place to spend the nightPosted Feb 2, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff and the nice view of the sunset from the room.
Cons: Climbing up on a steep hill to get to the hotel.
Location: Little bit far from the city and up on a hill.
Friendly staff and great viewing gallery. No need to set up the wake up time since the nice aroma of the breakfast will wake you up.

Excellent b&bPosted Jan 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed there two nights and everything was outstanding. This is a small b&b well located so that it is close to everything but quite. Grace and her husband were particularly helpful with helping us made additional reservation after we decided to change our reservations. We recommend this hotel without any reservations what so ever

Hotel is situated on top of a hill with a magnificient view of the forest. The owners are extremely nice and helpful with the area tours. The rooms are the best rooms I've stayed in in CR.

Charming highlight of trip to MonteverdePosted Dec 12, 2011 on Hotels.com
Grace and Enzo (I think?) we're fantastic hosts. The hotel is a little off the main street but super convienent. Breakfast was good every morning and their coffee was great. They updated the furniture in the rooms as I was staying and they are very nice. There were plenty of cable channels, but hopefully you won't stay too long in the room because the couple is a wealth of information on the countless things to do in Monteverde. I was only there three days and it was not nearly enough time. They are fantastic about booking all of the local tours including which ones they would recommend and why, but more importantly they will tell you what attractions are worth seeing and which pass on. Not to mention they had fantastic restraurant recommendations which really is the key to a great vacation. If I ever get to go back I will book this hotel first, airplane flight second!

Helpful ownerPosted Nov 28, 2011
Location: The store outside of the monteverde cloud forest. You can a lot of hummingbirds there.
The owner of the hotel went out her way to help us with planing our trip to other parts of the country. She suggested some good birding places to us, and we found the most beautiful birds of our trip there. These places are not in my tour book, I cannot find it without her help. I want to thank her again.

El Viandante B&B in Monteverde-A Must StayPosted Nov 22, 2011 on Hotels.com
My husband and I spend 2 nights in Monteverde and absolutely loved the Viandante B&B. The owners were so informative and helpful and the rooms very cozy and quaint. Loved that the location was in a central area of the town and had a breath-taking view. This hotel is a great value and a must stay for anyone looking for clean, affordable, comfortable accommdations and helpful and friendly staff.

Fantastic StayPosted Nov 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
Grace and Renzo, the hosts, are fantastic people and willing to help you figure out your stay in Costa Rica. Though the hotel was initially hard to find, we really enjoyed the rooms, the hot water, and the incredible level of service. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good time in Monteverde.

Wonderful experiencePosted Nov 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
Never having stayed at a B&B before we took a chance on El Viandante, and we don't regret it at all. The thing that really sets this Hotel apart from any other is the friendly service and helpful advice. If you've never been to Monteverde before they will give you plenty of great advice and ideas, if you have been they will suggest something new that you're sure to enjoy. I will refer friends here and we will surely be back. Thank you El Viandante for a great experience
