Mediocre accommodations in Santa ElenaPosted Mar 22, 2015
The receptionist was very helpful and the breakfast was good. The environs were nice as well. However, the room itself was lousy. There was a very funky smell in the room. Super thin sheets and lumpy pillows. One light of two didn't work and the sliding patio door didn't lock properly. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Nice rooms, clean.
Cons: Front desk staff not as friendly as we experienced at other locations. Seemed unhappy ?
Location: Sky Trek Zip Lining, Santa Elena.
Hotel was a bit out of the way, which was fine as we had a vehicle. And nice and quiet. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast (included) wasn't anything special but good value for price. Great coffee.

Good basic midrange hotel.Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Good location , Good breakfast , clean room , good hot water .
Cons: Tiles in shower are very slick when wet . No in room security box .
Location: A short walk to town . Amigos restaurant has good food and the place to be on Friday nights . The information center in town is helpful tours and info
The check in was quick and friendly . The room was basic but clean with good hot water. The grounds were clean and nicely maintained ( there was a sloth in one of the trees when we checked in ) . The breakfast was buffet style - eggs , rice and beans , French toast , pancakes and various fresh fruits, coffee and juice . It is a short 7 to 10 minute walk to town downhill .

Good value accommodation close to MonteverdePosted Jan 16, 2015
Location: Central location for all cloud forest reserves. Excellent Soda Cafe serving delicious local food less thab five minutes away: "Sabor Tico"
The hotel is set in pretty gardens a few minutes from the centre of Santa Elena. We saw a sloth in the gardens. The bathroom and hot water provision was very good and the breakfast was excellent. It was cold and windy when we were there so it would have been good to have the option of some heating in the room.

Very nice and friendly hotelPosted Jan 10, 2015
Location: Everything cool - ziplining, hanging bridges, morning bird walks, night forest walks, great towns for shopping and eating
Hotel Cipreses was a very nice hotel nestled in the Monteverde forest. It had a great view on the mountainside, and we even had a 2 toed- sloth in a tree nearby watching over us! The staff was really friendly and the hotel very affordable! It was a hilly walk into town but that added to the charm.

a very nice staff, rooms are clean though there was probably something itching in one of the Bed Sheets

Close to townPosted Jun 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is not the Hilton but the Drive to Monteverde is spectacular the hotel is fine for the price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You are close to town and that makes it easy to get to all the attractions. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are basic but clean no a/c but it is cool at night.

Pues menos mal!
