It's close to Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: I liked the location.
Cons: The rooms could be updated. There was a chip in the metal on the left sink faucet handle. White duvets on the beds would be nice.
Location: Monticello Raceway and Casino are just down the road. I ate at Bethel Market Cafe located just prior to the art center entrance… great for breakfast!
I stayed at this Best Western because of it's location. It's only 10 miles down 17b from the performing arts center and very convenient for attending festivals there. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping left at 12pm on Saturday, but they were kind enough to call my room to ask if I needed anything. They came to clean the room later on Sunday. The room definitely needs updating, but was adequate (2 beds, heat, large bathroom, ADA accessible). I re-cleaned the tub due to the presence of a prior guests hair in it, but the rest of the room was clean. There was a nice flat-screen tv, a mini-fridge and microwave. There is no in-room safe, however. It sounded like some areas of the hotel are undergoing renovation. There was very "heavy footed" walking and banging going on above my room that actually caused it to vibrate at times, all of Saturday morning and around 5 am on Monday morning. This was less than ideal as the event I attended lasted through a good part of the night and I wanted to sleep in the morning. The room price was very reasonable.

Pros: that you could actually crack the window for fresh air
Cons: overall service and amenities.... get some new carpetits all worn and nasty,
The Hotel was in kinda shabby condition overall. I'm not usually one to go to Best Western and now I remember why. sure if you just need a room but $100/nt I would rather save money and spend $60-80 for just a bed... The pool was closed, breakfast ended at 9am? I missed it our second night because I woke up at 9am... checkout 11am

Pure ice in parking lot. Guest fell and this could have been prevented with putting ice out 3 hours prior. P People next to us made noises and front desk did nothing to quiet them Down.

Pros: nice, neat and clean.
Cons: cant think of anything, it was fine.
Location: monticello racetrack is across the street, not far from motor boating on swan lake. right off rt. 17
the room was pleasant, the pillows were comfortable and the fridge in the room was plugged in and it worked. On a diet so i did not have the continental breakfast, but it looked good. they even had a waffle iron. a small but clean pool. i would go back.
