“Great place to stay in Liberty NY !!!!!”

I checked in late in the afternoon on July 16, 2009 which was day 3 of a 5 day bike ride. I was hot and tired....hotel was cool and comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Hotel staffer (Dilu) opened up the kitchen and got me some cookies and OJ to hold me over until dinnertime. Room was big, quiet and clean...plenty of hot water in the shower.

“Hunting trip”

I booked this hotel for my deer hunting trip through Expedia. My experience was very positive. The room was very clean and quiet. My room smelled nice and fresh. Bed sheets were like new. Staff Was very accommodating and polite. I fell asleep at 8:00 PM and slept through the night. Usually, I am light sleeper but that night I slept very well. My room had working thermostat, TV, dryer and coffee maker. I traveled to Catskills and ADK in the past and stayed in many hotels. This one beats any of these inexpensive hotels

“Good for what we needed”

The hotel was fine. Nothing fancy, but good enough. If they put a little work into the place, it could be really nice.

“really nice experience”

We booked this hotel despite lots of negative reviews after a relative told us she'd stayed here and it was fine. We had a positive experience. Despite what other reviews said, we had a clean, nice room and comfortable beds. There was no bad odor in the room and a very slight odor in the hallway. Absolutely no bedbugs, no bugs, spiderwebs, moldy smells or anything of the sort. Just a lovely, clean room. The outside and lobby are decent as well. Things aren't brand new or the lap of luxury but I don't think anyone expects that from a place like this. Staff were generally friendly but we had issues with them - they made a big deal about every small request, so we hesitated to ask for things we wanted.

“Comfortable but not the best ever”

If you are looking for a comfortable hotel to stay in, but not too many bells and whistles than this is perfect. The price was very reasonable and it is close to a 24 hour diner for anyone who likes that.

“Clean room, cold shower.”

The reception (owner's wife) was pleasant. She had my reservation ready and the king room I requested was ready. She recommended I might prefer a double queen because of a better location (closer to the door) which I agreed to. The hallway stunk of cigarette smoke. I almost gagged getting to my room. Thank goodness, the room had fresh air. The room was clean and comfortable, as much as you would expect for this price. I was OK until the next morning when it was time for a shower. The water ranged from ice cold to barely luke warm. It never got hot. By this time, it was really too late to change rooms since I was ready to check out.

“HoJo”

It was economical, and served my purpose, which was as a place to sleep while on a fishing trip.
