Nice place in southern Utah.

Pros: Great rate for the location. Close to southern Utah National Parks.
Cons: A better continental breakfast variety.
Location: Lot's to do. National Parks, Moab, hiking, slick rock riding and anything outdoors.
Stop on the way to Texas. Great location and the hotel is a throwback to days gone by. Clean rooms, friendly staff and town.

Great value for a family of six
Posted Jan 8, 2013
This is definately an older hotel, and not as nice as the Fairfields and Holiday Inn Expresses I typically stay at, but this is the second time my family has stayed here, and the room that fits my family of six is very convenient, at a good price, and includes a great little breakfast. I would stay here again.

Not perfect, but the little things made it good

Pros: Prepared with enough towels, soap, etc. Quiet, clean, and relatively well maintained.
Cons: By far the "breakfast." Was minimal and lacking by even hotel continental breakfast standards.
Location: If you just need a place to crash while passing through, Monticello works... otherwise shoot for Moab.
My wife, 3 kids & I were going to be arriving fairly late. We had reserved the 3 queen suite. I was a bit apprehensive reserving online as there isn't much in Monticello and usually lodging in such places can be sketchy. It was obviously an older property, but the pictures looked pretty good.... but don't they always? ;-) We arrived at almost 11pm and the person at the desk wasn't overly courteous, but not rude either. Being 11pm, I was able to let it slide. We headed to our room, feeling comforted that the property looked as good as the pictures. The family suite was surprisingly spacious. There were some imperfections like a wrinkle in the carpet, the long mirror in the bathroom had a crack, and the TV, although decent sized (average for the usual hotel room) was a bit small for the size of the suite. But it was very neat & clean. We told our kids to start getting their showers and it dawned on me that every single time we travel and stay in a large room, they only give 3 or 4 towels and we always have to go to or call the front desk for more. I went into the bathroom to check and there sat 6 sets of towels/washcloths! Not only that but there were several extra soaps, along with extra shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! At well after 11pm, that made me very happy! Other stuff... beds- comfy. Wi-fi- worked Breakfast-not so great

A great fall experience in Monticello,Utah.
Posted Jan 8, 2012
Pros: The hotel's location, price and cleanliness.
Cons: Can't say there was anything we disliked about the hotel.
Location: The hotel was located close to the mountain and the parks. Loved it!
We went to Monticello to enjoy the cool, clean air and the beautiful mountain and canyon scenery. The hotel was located close to some really good restaurants and the national parks. The price for our weekend stay was reasonable compared to going to Moab (a very busy and somewhat over-priced tourist town). The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was very friendly and informative. It was well worth the trip to see the awesome fall colors.

Nice rooms, great breakfast, but sadly even while they have an wifi network, we were no able to recive a stable connection to the internet. Be aware that the restaurants close soon (at least on sundays) in Monticello.

Great for more than 2 kids!

Pros: 3 Queen Beds in the family suite.
Cons: The AC ran into the curtains, making it so the cold air didn't get distributed well into the room when the curtains were closed.
Loved the option to have 3 beds. We have 3 children, so finding a room that will sleep us all is a challenge. Room was very large. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but it served the purpose and everyone was satisfied prior to leaving. There were some funny signs around that could be worded a little differently. Instead of kindly asking not to use white towels to take off makeup they threaten with charging you if you destroy one. Also, similar notes regarding breakfast stating that they don't want food removed from the dining hall because they "don't serve lunch." Maybe there are people who would do that, but I think that their signs could be a bit more friendly. All in all, I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone who has more than 2 kids.

Not so good
Posted Jan 25, 2012
Pros: nice staff
Cons: everything else
Stay here for a trip to archer & canyonland. This is a very basic motel, the staff are very nice, but the hotel itself needs a major upgrade. The breakfast is also not so good.
