It is clearly an older property. I did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff. Comfy bed and bedding. They are doing a good job upgrading where they can.

good sized room. Extremely nice front desk. Leaky faucet. Regular heater broken but there was a space heater provided. Bathroom heat lamp timer broken. Several lightbulbs were out. not really a nice hotel but very good for my purposes. It was large it was reasonably clean and the staff was nice.

The bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was horrible. Staff very nice. Facility under construction. Lots of noise from that and from the main road during all hours of the night.

Abajo lodge was clean and quiet however they lacked central heating. There was a space heater in the room but we didn't end up using it. Beds and blankets were very fluffy.

Good stop in Monticello
Older motel, very clean and convenient. Good Mexican food across the street, gas station and C-store just to the east. Beds are definitely on the firm side.

Noisy barking dog in hotel room
There was a barking dog issue. I contacted front desk at 11 pm and was asked what I wanted them to do about it. Odd question. At checkout I was told it was neighbor’s dog, but as we departed a dog was in a hotel room window barking. Definitely not customer service oriented behaviour from the front desk.

Spacious room with 3 beds was just what we needed. Dining table, microwave and fridge was nice. Front desk guy was great. Convenient parking. Great deal. Don't know if this is just a coincidence but while logged into the hotel wifi (approximately 1 hour) I got about 100 spam emails. Room either needs a new coat of paint or a deep clean and either new carpet or a professional clean. Mattresses were dated. We also had a spider problem in our room.

Respect Goes Along Way
Horrible experience! The guy at the front desk had a bad attitude, to start with. Horrible location of the room, since I reserved it about a month before hand. When we entered the room…..OMG….bad carpet smell hit us right in the face. Also, there are folks who I believe live there on a full time basis. Anyway CHOOSE another place!! Take my word it’s Nasty!!

The chain on the door was broken and the window could have used a brace at the top to keep it shut better. It was a little loud with road noise. The staff was very accommodating.

Excellent place to stay
This was a stop on a trip through a few states. The service was excellent. The man who checked me in was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the shower head was powerful. It was great after a 12 hour drive.
